Good for Light computing, Internet and Office

I have owned a dell 3147 in the past and the 3168 is an improvement in some areas. Colors are nice, I bought this model the red. You can upgrade the ram to 8gb and the Hard drive to SSD. The processor is not a true powerhouse, it is based on the Atom processor and is the N3700 series, Intel calls it "Pentium" but as its a quad core, the graphics are not as good as Icore processors. Is this enough for many people? YES, it runs office well, it surfs the internet well, you can watch movies and you tube. The touch screen is responsive. It has 2 usb 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 and HDMI ports, it has a micro SD card slot. The hinges are strong and reliable, there is little flex in the body. Sound is pretty good for a little computer. Battery life is 6 to 8 hours ( have no idea how to 10 to 12)
So whats there not to like? The quality of the screen is cheap.
It functions well but its barely HD quality and it does not many good viewing angles.
to get good battery life you give up processing power but the N3710 is powerful enough for many tasks ( do not get the Celeron it really under-performs)
This is not a good gaming computer but good for taking notes
I would recommend this to a friend!

32gb eMMC too small for WIndows

I had an Acer 11 inch and with 32gb eMMC HD and it was too small, WIndows 10 could not upgrade with only 1gb of programs installed and the rest was windows. Know that you will be stuck with Windows wanting to upgrade on the laptop. Since all these 32 gb eMMC SSD d are soldered onto the motherboard you cannot change them for a bigger drive. I just bought a HP X360 with a 500gb HD and replaced it with a 240gb SSD hard drive and its way better of a choice. Spend a few more dollars and get a laptop you can upgrade if wanted in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best budget 2 in 1

I have had my Pavilion x360 for 3 months now, out of the box it needed a bios update due to a fan warning error. The fan worked fine and the CPU was very cool. Once I updated the bios it was fine ( update is not done by Windows 10 you have to download it from HP) This laptop is light and fast, I'm an everyday 4 plus hour user. I use it for internet, MS Word, Power Point, and photo editing. I have no less than 4 to 5 windows open on Chrome plus 2 or three other programs running at same time and this laptop does will, its fast and responsive. It has one of the best sound I have had on a laptop this size. Its light enough at 3.7 lbs to carry to work and fly with. The touch screen is great and I like the 360 action of the lid. The case is solid and has a good firm feel to it. The Keyboard is very good for typing. The hinges on this model are the same ones on the Specter x360

Purchased 2 in a row with Fan Malfunction
By KH22
Purchased the HP X360 new from Best Buy. After powering it on for the first time it had a boot error due to a fan malfunction. Took it back to Best buy to exchange for a new one, when powered on the 2nd one had the exact same boot error message. I've always used HPs but this was a huge disappointment and hassle.

Sorry about that but HP has a fix
June 18, 2016
My x360 did the same thing, once I updated to the new BIOS just realeased the fan issue was fixed.
Thats all those laptops need is a Bios update, 99% of the time laptops are shipped with older drivers and Windows 10 does not update BIOS drivers

wish i could get my money back
By stlrgrl
had a surface pro 3 RT and it was better than this. thought it would be similar with more GB but no, its super slow, windows doesnt work the same as on the surface, and the touchscreen doesnt work until you hit the screen at least 5 times, each time you want to click something

what are your doing with it?
February 5, 2017
This laptop has a N3700 Pentium not a Caor processor like the surface.
Ram does not speed up a system
The HD does slow the system some
If you have to hit the touch screen many times for a response either there is a problem with windows touch or the touch screen is defective
This is the second Dell 3000 series I have owned and I have never had that problem, not before nor now
