Listen in comfort with these JVC FLATS HAS160R over-the-ear headphones, which feature a slim stainless-steel headband and soft ear pads. Pivoting earcups allow the headphones to lie flat, so they can be packed away with ease while traveling.

Best Bang for the Buck!

Been using the Flats for almost 10 years, still have the prior version (HA-S150) still going strong at home. At work using this model. Best Buy is selling these as clearance and rumor has it JVC is changing them again. Picked up 2 more pairs for what is essentially a throw away price. If you are looking for fine sound on a budget with clear highs and a pretty good low end for cheap these are the ticket. EQ them and they really sing. Very lightweight and comfortable and I wear them with glasses with no problem. Unlike some reviews I have never broken one. They have travelled in my suitcase where ever I go. Perhaps I am lucky or I just treat them kindly. They will not replace my Seinheiser or even my Koss PortaPro for more serious at home listening. But at 1/10 and 1/4 the price of the others if they are stolen or break I can just pull out another pair without breaking the bank.

Great Entry/Mid Level Phone

Taking into account this is NOT a flagship phone it is still a pretty nice phone. I picked one up for my son to use on T-Mobile postpaid and it works really well. Band 12 is a plus as well as working VoLTE, 2 features my 2014 flagship LG G3 doesn't even have. Phone calls are clear and if you are used to LG's Android skin you won't have any problems using it. Things that set it apart from higher end phones are no LED indicator for charging and message alerts; camera is fixed focus; no 5ghz band on Wi-Fi; fairly slow charging; and a low resolution screen. But for what it is it is excellent. Just keep your expectations firmly on the features at this price point and realize this isn't a LG G4 or Galaxy S6. I think you will be happy with it. ☺

Awesome for old school Stereo

I was looking for a decent receiver just to listen to music. I have some old KLH speakers that will be updated at a later date but receiver first. I was looking at Sony and Onkyo but ran across this receiver while researching. It has the one thing standard the other didn't-Bluetooth. I listen to alot of music (streaming and local) and figured this would be a cool feature. It is and pairing is very simple. Sound quality is very good. Although I no longer listen to terrestrial radio I did check out the tuner and it sounds very good. Power output can shake my old speakers but very clear. All in all a very good receiver and it only set me back $99 on sale.

Eehhhhh, I expected more
By Eric
I'll start by saying, I'm frugal. That said, even for the $80 I paid for this phone when it came out I expected much more. Critics would say, "well, you paid less than $100, what did you expect". Well in the year 2015, I guess too much. I mean seriously, the capabilities of this phone compared with computers 10-15 years ago is pretty comparable. Not to mention, the $400 phones people get all worked up over each year aren't worth diddly and are deemed "useless" in a year. So I'd rather spend my $ on other things more practical. Some of you will disagree and who cares.
My biggest issue is the battery life. The battery life sucks. I run a small business and use my phone as such to make various calls, check a few emails here and there and by mid AM my battery is half life and I'm lucky that it doesn't shut off by 4PM. The car charger doesn't do much for charging which stinks for me as I'm in the car 90% of my day.
I wish there was a phone, that wouldn't break the bank, offered 4G LTE (which I'm still not sure is an important thing), and would hold a charge for 24 hours. Is that to much to ask? LG, you make nice sexy looking products, Can you put these simple requests in your docket of "hey, let's make one for this guy like that". Under $200 too. I know, a lot to ask.
My other issue is that it seems to lag between pressing requests. ie: making a call, or checking text messages. That may be a setting or just can't handle my finger because it is to busy sucking the life out of my battery.
If you sit at your desk all day and can keep this on a charger my "issue" will not be of concern, the phone is nice in appearance, and it has taken some getting used to, but the on off in the back of the phone along with the volume control is kind of cool too.

Uh, today's phones are ALOT better than 15 years a
July 11, 2015
I kind of chuckled when I saw the comment the LG Leon is essentially no better than a phone from 10 or 15 years ago. In 2000 I was using a Nokia 3210 TDMA phone through AT&T Wireless. Monochrome gray screen with no texting ability or camera. In 2005 things I had progressed to a nice silver Motorola GSM Razor (still have it!). Now had texting and WAP internet at the blazing speed of less than dial up and a fabulous VGA camera (with no flash). Today both of these phones belong in a museum or a recycling bin. For $69 the Leon is a fantastic phone with a pretty good feature set. You would have to pay $200+ more to get a significantly better phone. Do today's phones last as long on a charge as the old Nokia's? No but the old phones weren't hand held computers either.

Update-purchased another one
July 17, 2015
After playing around with my sons Phone I came to realize how important band 12 is in SoCal, places where I was getting 1-2 bars (and sometime no service) this little phone had 3-5 bars on band 12. So grabbed another and activated it on another line (8.50/mo with advantage discount) to use as a back up. In fact with T Mobile's unlimited music streaming it has become my online music player while on the road. If you live in an area with band 12 and your phone doesn't have it pick one of these up on the cheap, it may the difference between coverage and emergency calls only.

Another Update!
August 13, 2015
Been using the phone for a month and to my surprise LG has undated the Leon to Android 5.1.1 which is the most recent Lollipop update. This is unheard of; usually entry level phones are stuck at the version you purchased it at. The phone is actually smoother and the occasional wifi calling kinks it had are now gone. Battery life also has improved. I easily make it from 7-4:30 streaming music all day and have at least 50% left when leaving. Pretty good since I cannot do that on my G3! There are now TPU cases and Tempered Glass protectors for the Leon popping up online, if you need one just do a search. I certainly can't complain about the features vs. price on this phone. :)

I already have a 2 yr contract with Verizon. I had my phone and my sons phone and tablet included. My phone was dropped and broken and the lady that sold them to me in the store forgot to put Drop insurance on them. We told her we wanted it because I have a teenage son. Even though she forgot the insurance I am now left without a phone. I was wondering if a Alcatel one touch Fierce. Would I be able to use this phone with my plan and are they unlocked when you buy them??
The Leon is locked to T-Mobile. Although you can get it unlocked it lacks all the frequency bands for Verizon and AT&T so it would be a poor choice for those carriers. There is actually a version (not called Leon) that is made for the Verizon network you can pick up. It looks exactly the same.

I need a no contract smart phone

what do you recommend to use in both the US and Mexico?
This phone is great if you use the non-contract Simple Choice plan. The plan includes all of North America! No roaming in Mexico or Canada. :)

how is the coverage for tmobile? im looking at the LG Leon for tmobile

This phone will get you the best coverage T-Mobile has to offer. If you live in a Band 12 area like I do in building coverage with Band 12 is better than the Band 2/4 signal can ever do. Also much better for rural areas, signal travels further. The Leon is the cheapest way to enlarge your service area.

How many memory does this phone have?

Last time I brought a Nokia Lumia 530 at best buy but the memory only has 3 GB.
It has 8 GB rom (4 GB available) and 1 GB ram. For most people they can load all their apps on the phone and some of them can be moved to the SD card (recommended to have). Although I am a power user (but do not play games which usually is a memory hog) I have no issues with the space I have.

Phone battery question

Can the phone's battery be removed if it needs to be replaced or is this LG phone like some of the other cell phones where you cannot take the battery out?
The battery is removable ☺

Sim Card Question

Can I buy this phone and use my "contract" sim card in it? I dropped my current phone and the screen shattered so I am looking for a cheap replacement phone. Can I do it? I am currently on a monthly plan with T-Mobile I am assuming it will work but wanted to make sure....
Absolutely! Currently using 2 of them on post paid. There is no difference between the pre paid and post paid version s.

Wifi calling

Does have wifi calling?
Yes it does but like other Lollipop phones it is erractic. Wi-Fi calling works so much better on KitKat.

How many hours do you get on a full charge and how long does it take to charge?

I haven't used the adapter that comes with it but using my G3's adapter it will charge from about 40% to full in about an hour and a half.
