These are awesome, they have wide side frames/arm to block some of the side light reflections, are some what of wrap around design with a slight curve to the lenses. Don't feel cheap and actually have screws in the hinges. Nice artwork, styling and include a nice pouch with the movie logo! Plus you even get a free ticket to the movie, what a deal. Got my ticket and used it opening night with no problems. BTW you can use these at home with passive 3D TV's, which I have used them on with outstanding results.
Thorin Oakenshield’ inspired 3D Glasses, specifically for the new film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The beautiful design features a Dwarven sword in gold and silver along the arm of the glasses, with the movie logo embossed on it. They are packed in a cloth bag which also features the movie logo.

Burn as they should in a SE-506BB, have not had any issues, going on 24 out of 24 no coasters yet.

Awesome Piece Of Equipment @ A Great Price

After some research this was the right one! Purchased this 1 month ago, actually drove 28 miles due to all the local Best Buys being sold out.
Everything about this is awesome except for it not having a Blu-ray Optical Drive, so I purchased a Samsung SE-506BB Slim External Writer, perfect combo, does all I need now. Nice brushed black exterior, comes with a small sub woofer & a cleaning cloth.
Uses:
1. Video/Audio Editing, Ripping & Burning.
2. Watching BD's & HD files, Love the 1080 screen!!
3. Some game play but not my thing.
4. With the 1TB HD plenty of space for mp4's for streaming through our home network.
5. Web surfing, Vudu, Netflix, Cinemanow, Flixster, YouTube.
6. Apps...
1. Video/Audio Editing, Ripping & Burning.
2. Watching BD's & HD files, Love the 1080 screen!!
3. Some game play but not my thing.
4. With the 1TB HD plenty of space for mp4's for streaming through our home network.

Coming from windows XP, I have not had any issues with Windows 8, it's like using my Droid 4. No issues with hang ups or anything like that, this has performed flawless since day 1. BTW the touch pad can be disabled if you are using a mouse. The touchscreen is a nice feature though I never use it. This thing is fast at least faster than my needs.
Overall an excellent item & price.
