Poor product and support

I purchased two of these cables for my wife's phone and my phone. The first one has lasted for over a month and the second one failed in less than 1 week. Half of the cable lights up the other half of the cable does not light up. I went back to Best Buy because the item has a 1 year warranty it says on the package it is made for best buy and it has the best buy logo information. The desk told me they could not warranty the cable instead I would have to contact the manufacture. REALLY I buy an item made for best buy, from their store, that has information on the packaging which leads you to believe Best Buy authorized the cable and it has a one year warranty for $19.00. They want me to contact the manufacture for warranty issues after about 2 weeks because Bets Buy has no warranty!!!!!! This is a $19.00 cable not a $1.99 cable from the corner store or flea market! I expect better for $19.00 and I surely expect better from Best Buy guess I'll go to Fry's of Amazon next time.

Is this cable UL Listed? I want to be sure that if there was ever a fire and the insurance company came around, that they wouldn't refuse the claim because of a UL Listing question.
