Wild Party's debut album, Phantom Pop is phenomenal! I love everything about it- but if I had to pick favorite songs, I'd definitely go with either "Outright" or "Chasin' Honey". Highly recommend!
The Color Morale was previously known for their post-hardcore ferocity but decided to take a gamble this time around and alter their sound to be more traditionally hardcore, and it paid off beautifully. This album is awesome from start to finish, and I absolutely recommend picking it up!
What's great about it: New innovative sound, awesome artwork
What's not so great: It doesn't come with Garret Rapp
Chicago pop punk group Real Friends have made quite a name for themselves, with their runs on Warped tour and a few successful EP's to boot, and now they've finally released their first full-length album. This album delivers the same somber blend of emo and mosh-worthy punk that the band is known for, only with a bit more maturity this time around. This album is not to be missed, and could easily be one of the best albums of 2014.
This is an excellent release from newcomers The Downtown Fiction. Their blend of punk and pop is irresistibly catchy- I highly recommend checking out songs, "Cool Kids" and "Kiss My Friends". You'll be playing this album all summer long!
What's great about it: Lighthearted, catchy lyrics, upbeat and fresh
