Only Works On Occasion

I received this as a gift. Out of the box it was easy to set-up and to connect wirelessly to my laptops (I have a fairly new Mac and PC that are running the most up-to-date software). The sound was outstanding considering how small/compact the device was and it filled my entire living room with the quality sound one has come to expect from a Bose speaker system.
Well, here comes the "however..." After one month the device stopped wirelessly connecting to my laptops. I tried everything under the sun to get it to reconnect. It would not. I took it into the Bose store for troubleshooting. Their response, "yes, this is a common problem our customers have been experiencing with the bluetooth connectivity." They suggested I update my bluetooth software on my laptops and "hope" that it would reconnect. I did this, no such luck. Then, suddenly, about two days later, it started connecting and worked again for about two weeks...and then, stopped connecting again, as it had done before.
Since December, this has been my love-hate relationship with this device. It will connect and work awesome, but then suddenly stop connecting for about one week...and then decide to connect again....a constant roller coaster. It's a toss of the dice when using this device, you never know if you're going to get to listen to your music b/c it may or may not connect and work.
I give it one star because Bose has a reputation for making well-built, flawless speakers; this not being one of them. My experience with this device is something one would expect from a Bose competitor, not Bose. I encourage you to shop around and if you can find an alternative with equally good sound, buy it! The heartache and hassle of trying to get this device to consistently connect wirelessly outweighs the sound quality and the $199 price tag....

Cool Camera With Major Flaw
on June 4, 2014

I purchased this camcorder after learning that its features combined with the "indestructibility" factor made it an ideal choice for a family with young kids that get their hands on everything. Got it out of the box and started using it and everything about it seemed great, from the ease of use, to the convenient touchscreen down to the video picture quality.
The problem with this camera presented itself when I went to review the recorded videos. There was this clicking noise in the background that kept cutting into the audio of the recordings. Upon further examination, it turned out the clicking noise was being caused by the zoom-in/zoom-out button on the top of the camera. This button is not completely flush with the camera's body. Thus, when the button is touched in even the slightest way (which you cannot avoid b/c that's where your pointer and middle fingers naturally rest when the camera is in your hand) the button bounces around on the camera's body/frame and creates this clicking noise that cuts into all your recordings.
I gave this camera two stars because everything else about it was great, the audio/mic issue aside. One would expect such an audio issue on a cheaper camera, but not one that is $400+ not including a memory stick. I would not recommend purchasing this camera due to the audio flaw I encountered. I will be returning mine to Best Buy and will search for a better model/alternative.
