Following up to an incredible debut like "True Romance" is difficult but "Sucker" doesn't even come close. It's mediocre pop fun (with an excessive emphasis on pop-rock sounds) but it doesn't offer the beautiful sentimentality of her previous album.
This album sets a very high bar for the "indie pop" genre. Charli's debut offers a little of everything: emotional ballads, mellow mid-tempos, and dance tracks. I couldn't recommend this album enough.
This album is more rap and less pop/EDM than her previous album so it's a lot stronger material. There are a few fun tracks though for her pop-centered fans.
This release from the fantasy action anime series Bleach includes uncut versions of episodes 206-217 of the show, following the adventures of Ichigo, a once average kid who battles against demons to maintain the safe transport of human souls into the afterlife.
The packaging is a little bland and the special features are lacking but other than that, this set gives viewers top tier shounen anime as Bleach reaches its best arc that provides intense drama, plenty of humor, and powerful action.
This two-pack from the supernatural-action anime series Bleach features two full-length feature films from the series, Bleach The Movie: Memories of Nobody and Bleach The Movie 2: The DiamondDust Rebellion.
Action-packed anime movies that show off the best aspects of the Bleach universe like the action and well-developed characters. It's great that this set is so affordably priced but I wish there were more special features.
Like all superhero blockbusters, this has plenty of action to keep kids entertained but there are riveting character moments, drama, romance, and suspense to keep audiences of all ages engaged! The main thing keeping it from 5 stars is the utter lack of development for several of the minor characters like Bishop, Colossus, and Blink.
This release contains aevery episode of the F/X medical drama #Nip/Tuck, which followed the expoloits of two plastic surgeons. Billed as "a disturbingly perfect drama," Nip/Tuck is set in south Florida, where doctors Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) have built their own medical practice and are enjoying great success as the premier plastic surgeons of the area. Though physical perfection is their business, their private lives are far from flawless. Christian is an unabashed womanizer and uses sex to fill the void left by his abusive father, while Sean continuously tries to live up to the morally righteous standard he has set for himself only to fall repeatedly into personal hypocrisy and guilt. He certainly does so with Julia (Joely Richardson), his wife -- their seemingly ideal marriage is perilously close to crumbling beneath their feet and both constantly look outside of one another for what is missing from their lives.
When this show first aired, it broke boundaries and records for cable programming. The early seasons are top-notch and have plenty of twists and turns to keep viewers engaged. Although it tends to get whackier as the show draws to a close, the characters (and the dramatic situations they find themselves in) still keep you engaged.
