Full package!

Well, I may not be a multi-million-dollar audiophile, but I do consider myself, still, an audiophile. I've had this speaker for about 5 days now, and I must say, this thing is the full package.
The separation, clarity, punch, and imaging of this speaker are all just so crisp and impressive to the air. I am coming from the Definitive Technology C/L/R 2000 - which, although impressive - I was ready to move to the living room and, therefore, I was looking for an upgrade for my media room. With that said - I can give a quick comparison between the two. This BnW wins in EVERY respect, even matched with Definitive Technology speakers as the Left and Right channels. The bass from the CLR can obviously be much deeper and boomier considering that it is powered... But when tuned properly - to match your other speakers - you find that sweet spot for its bass output, and, once found, you'll realize it's almost never near max settings. With that said - the BnW has much more impact and presence at most volumes. It's likely due to its 6 1/2 inch drivers - but it doesn't stop there. The bass' roll off and crispness just seems so much more upscale and "correct."
The three way design gives such amazing separation. The crossovers are done perfectly. As a center, this product brings everything together so magically that I was quite shocked at first considering I'd thought I was using an amazing center, already. I can't stress it, enough. Everything seems sharpened and refined after this purchase.
I will say, though, that yes, it is very bulky. I am currently using an entertainment center that allows me to mount my 55" to the vertical brace attached to it - with a sheld roughly 8-9 inches underneath the bottom of the TV. The center channel doesn't fit! I have to put the speaker in front of the TV rather than having it niched inbetween the two. But, only an inconvenience. They are 6 1/2 inch drivers coupled to a midrange driver, after all.
With all that has been said - in summary, I can't wait for the break in period to be over and to be able to finally fully appreciate the abilities of this product. I will soon be matching a pair of BnW ceiling speakers as my second pair of fronts. May sound awkward, but I'll have 2 floor standing speakers from DefTech matched to the center, and ceiling speakers - with rears, as well. But let me tell you - I know BnW is my choice for the ceiling. Should sound stellar in stereo for music and give an amazing opened, realistic setting for games/movies. Can't Wait!!
Thanks for the read!

After a week of troubleshooting, I sent this product back. It was very frustrating knowing that if I changed a setting in game, it would be as if my brake pedal went dead. You physically couldny press the pedal hard and cause the car to slow down. That was the main issue. My other problem was that the car would behave irregularly when using the wheel. It could turn differently from the suggested input or even completely spin out while on a straight. I am very, very good at forza 6, but using this wheel meant that I had to turn on pretty much every setting before the car was driveable. I couldn't post anywhere near the laptimes I achieved with a controller for the life of me. Knowing that I gave it a weeks effort, and it still wasn't working properly, I have to give it a thumbs down. I expected a better driving experience, not something frustrating to the point that I was in the settings menu more than driving.

Overall, satisfied.

The computer came in wonderful packaging, had foam padding inside of the case for added durability for shipping, and powered on very quickly. Games download at record speed of 21 megs a second, which I know is coupled with having a good provider. I have my settings to the max on my 55 inch samsung 4k at 3500p. Overall. Satisfied.
What I'm definitely NOT happy about is noticing that a week later, the same company is offering the SLC8400 at only 1399. To my knowledge, everything is the absolute same, save for the processor. And get this. The processor is a 6th gen i7-6700 as opposed to a 5th gen i7-5820. If I'm not mistaken, it should out perform the processor equipped on my pc albeit, for a hundred dollars less!
To an extent, I get it... that's just how pricing of conputers works, but my pc didnt see a lowering of cost after this other one entered the arena.
With that said, though. I did my research at the time and realized the value of this product. I bought it for the motherboard, a shell, if you will. Upgradeable to 64 gigs of ddr4, 4 pci-x16 slots, liquid cooling, ssd drive matched to a 2tb drive. Lots of bang for buck

Fantastic Gaming Rig

Right out of the box, mind blowing speeds and benchmarks. Had to tweak windows 8.1 a bit but this comes with everything ready to go. Use the MSI afterburner software to tweak/overclock the GPU. The X99 board's bios lets you overclock to 3.8 no problem and the liquid cooling system keeps up flawlessly. Considering how much a custom build like this can run, worth every penny.

Quick question to owner or Cyber power PC
August 18, 2015
Could you please include the number of PCI-Ex16 slots of this computer, and to CyberpowerPC could you please do the same for all other PCs in the future??

Ended up returning it
By Michael
The steering wheel was fantastic. It just took the game to an entirely new level. The in game feedback that comes through the wheel makes it seem super realistic and it just responds so well, but then comes in the pedals. You will get no problems out of the gas or clutch, just the brake pedal. The way they designed it requires a good bit of force, or if you were in a car, momentum. The problem is, the only real way to be able to apply that amount of force is to get the whole thing mounted, and by that I mean getting a stand that also has the seat built in and that will cost you at least an additional $300+ depending on your preference. Possibly, with a mount this wheel would probably be one of the best if not the best wheel but for out of the box use and functionality this wheel only gets 2 stars from me. Not being able to fully push down on the brake pedal will affect your gameplay and while yes, you can change the settings you have to lower the dead zone from 100% to about 30-40% for it to fully register the brake.

Brake Pedal
November 8, 2015
If you still own the wheel - I will definitely throw it out there that I found that if you pump the brake 3 times at start-up, it makes using it drastically easier. But - Only for a short while, for me at least. If I changed ANY setting - it would resort back to that ridiculous unusable expectation of a pedal. I would need to restart the game and repeat the process. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Thanks Stinger - It was for the xbox game and I am unsure if it had a fix for that. I've already returned it. I doubt I will try it again.

Is it really... Perfection?
By Danny
The Sennheiser HD800 is a headphone that exceeded the standard of personal music reproduction at the time of its release back in 2009. And ‘till this day is still considered and is well regarded as one of the best headphones in the world. Senneheiser’s goal when creating this masterpiece was to eliminate compromise and re-invent the core foundation of the headphone listening experience. What a mighty expectation to set and what a courageous task to achieve.
The HD800’s comes stored in a finely crafted cardboard material box with a luxurious velvety felt that cushions the HD800’s inside. Immediately, the presentation given here is that you are dealing with something of epic proportions. There are documentations also included essentially describing the HD800’s technical abilities and the engineering process in detail kind of making you feel even more enthralled and enthusiastic about your new investment.
The HD800’s physical aesthetics are very futuristic and sci-fi and are more designed to showcase its technical ability as opposed to being purely stylish. This is a headphone that entirely favors function over form. The massive ear cups pivot and swivel to accommodate the subtle angles on the head to achieve that perfect fit. The HD800’s ear cups offer the most room that I have personally encountered from any headphone with not only a wide diameter to completely go around the ear, but incredible depth and distance from the speaker. The ear pads are supple, and feel soothing on the skin. Sennheiser calls the material alcantara which is also found in the interior of high end sports cars. The headband frame has been precisely crafted to minimize any vibration distortion caused by the speakers which can channel thru the headband interrupting the equilibrium of the opposing speaker.
The HD800’s speaker design and the fundamental properties surrounding it are entirely unique. From the steel mesh acoustical transparent filters to the exposed and ventilated rear magnet structure, these design cues point towards Sennheiser’s goal to achieve no compromise.
The sound of the HD800’s have been loved and hated, but there’s no denying the surreal sense of clarity and resolution in the presentation, the microscopic detail retrieval capability and the pin-point accurate imaging separation and projection of this headphone. The sounds that emit from the HD800 sound as if they simply appear out of nowhere and you can reach out touch it. However with all of this clarity and detail comes a flaw. A flaw that may not even be a fault of the HD800, but a fault of our human intellect. A fault that may just well be reality. Simply put, the HD800’s are very analytical.
Bass presentation here is stellar with impeccable levels of control and refinement that simple just allows the subtle textures to just flow off into the ambience unaltered by its neighboring notes. This is only bested by my planar magnetics terms of the sense of authority behind the notes while maintaining precision. The HD800’s bass is simply exquisite and is easily the best presentation of bass that I have heard from a dynamic driver.
Holographic and illusive in its presentation is the midrange response. A vocalist can be rendered with such precision and spatial position that it quite quickly becomes an illusion rather than listening to music. An illusion that they’re actually there, in your room but you cannot see nor touch them. The level of fundamental and spatial detail is astonishing and just allows the core of the music to easily and I mean easily be deciphered and analyzed to your heart’s content. Nothing will make the HD800’s trip over itself and render an even slightly confused passage of the most complex song you can find.
The treble is where either what you may want to call a flaw or the basic principles of our human perception coming into play. The HD800’s in terms of measurements are simply unmatched overall. Looking at the frequency response does show a very present, but not necessarily overly emphasized treble response in relation to the midrange and bass. What must be understood is that a treble response that is linear on paper will not sound like so in reality. The HD800’s treble is accurate, but not natural. Accurate in that it is insanely detailed and resolving and helps power the immensely open and wide soundstage that recreates everything in a 3D venue with laser positioning that just redefines what listening to headphones is all about. However, not natural in that it is a bit too much and emphasizes any flaw in the recording and gives a cold rendition of the music if it’s not optimally mastered.
Thankfully, I know the power of an equalizer and with that applied to slightly reduce some of the energy in the treble, I have pretty much found audio nirvana.

I own the Sony MDR-1A - compare?
August 9, 2017
As mentioned. If you have any experience with the Sony MDR-1, how do the two compare? My situation is this. 30K (roughly) thrown into a home theater and I always still get the itch. These headphones, after owning them for a while - I put on and I am just taken to a place my home theater can't. What am I missing that the Senn's would offer? I ask because I am considering these, the 800 S, and the BnW P9.
Thanks in advance, hope to see a reply!
