George Pal presents the adaptation of H.G. Wells' sci-fi book The Time Machine. Warner's work on this 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation is very good considering the age of the film. While there are a few brief moments of edge enhancement in the image, overall this is a very fine-looking transfer with solid colors and well-saturated black levels. The audio is presented in a newly created Dolby Digital 5.1 remix in English as well as a French Dolby Mono soundtrack. The new 5.1 soundtrack utilizes some directional effects, though the bulk of the mix is filtered though the front and center speakers. All aspects of the soundtrack are free and clear of any excessive hiss or distortion. Also included on this disc are subtitles in French and English. The extra features on The Time Machine include the very extensive 47-minute documentary A Look Back: The Time Machine, hosted by Rod Tyler, and footage with Alan Young and Michael J. Fox. This is a very in-depth look at the film which should please fans hoping for insight into the production and themes. Also included on this disc is a list of awards the film won, some cast and crew info, and a theatrical trailer for the film.

I saw this original years ago and really liked the special effects for that time period. Saw the remake years later and was totally disappointed. Some things are better off being left alone if you get my drift. In the original, Rod Taylor invents a time machine that takes him on a journey into the future and shows how mankind has wasted away, no longer caring much about anything. Worth seeing!

Had been waiting for this CD and was glad I bought it. Wild Horses was probably the best song on this CD. Just thought it was wonderful that an unknown could get famous. Susan has such a beautiful voice and I wish her all the best.

This was actually a gift for christmas for my 27 year old son. I've watched this show for years and had no idea my son and many of his friends also watched it. I got him years 1-2. He'll get the rest for birthday gifts, etc if he continues to enjoy them. I know I do. Great actors too!!!!
What's great about it: Shows just how delicate/fragile human life is

watched the movie this evening and was laughing through most of it, something that doesn't happen too often. Good chemistry between Kathrine and Gerard made the movie enjoyable. Was pleasantly surprised.
What's great about it: comedic bluntness regarding relationships
