Better sound than I expected. Plus simple to use.

Forget Bluetooth. This is so much better. Uncompressed high quality sound that doesn't drop out. I downloaded Google's Play Now program on my PC, and it grabbed my entire iTunes library and loaded it up into Google's cloud. Now I've got access to all my music, plus tons of other music -- all at high bit-rate and uncompressed. Hookup and use are simple. My wife loves it (she never never used Bluetooth). When their multi-room software update comes out in a month or two, it's hard to see why anyone would choose a more expensive alternative. A true giant-killer product for 35 bucks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good sound, no clutter.

I've had 5.1 surround sound systems in the past. I like how they sound, but they're all complicated to use and have too many wires and boxes. My wife absolutely hated both systems I had. The ZVOX doesn't have the "full surround sound effects" of a 5.1 system, but it sounds very good. The three built-in subwoofers have plenty of bass, the sound is clear and will play very loud, and the accuvoice feature really works. It makes dialog really easy to understand. A pretty good option if you want accurate sound and good bass, but don't want a bunch of wires and subwoofers on the floor. And my wife doesn't hate it.

Enjoy a world of entertainment with Google Chromecast. Just connect to your HDTV's HDMI interface and your home Wi-Fi network to get started. You can stream your favorite apps from your compatible phone, tablet or laptop, plus use your phone as a remote to search, play and pause content.

Will it work using a laptop?

Also, can I access the Yahoo search engine?
Yes. As long as you can use a Chrome browser.

Will this allow you to cast in a hotel room that requires a log in page from a website?

Didn't work at a Sheraton last week because there was not a discrete password, which Chromecast needs. They had me sign up with my name and room number, and Chromecast didn't know how to deal with that.

iTunes support?

The guy at the Best Buy store said I could use chromecast audio with my iPad Mini and my MacBook Air. But I did some research at home and it looks like chromecast audio DOES NOT support iTunes, which is what I want to use it for. (I've loaded a bunch of my CDs into iTunes and want to play them through my amplifier.) Before I load any apps, I want to be sure chrome cast audio supports iTunes. Can anyone confirm that it does or does not support iTunes on an iPad Mini or MacBook Air?
He's right that it doesn't support iTunes -- but no problem. Download the free version of Google Play Music and it will grab all your iTunes library and load it into a Google cloud automatically. It will even grab new songs as you add them to iTunes. Then use the Play Music App on your Mini or Air to play your iTunes songs through Chromecast Audio. Works great. Nice interface too. The alternative is an App called Plex, which also works, but I like Play Music just fine.
