I purchased this adapter to attach a third monitor to my gaming system but it would not work for my application. The adapter is not an "Active" adapter and will only work in certain cases where a passive display connection is supported.
If your application requires an "Active" adapter then this solution will not work.
Either way it is better to go with an active adapter to avoid this problem all together.
