This camera has a know fault (google “cannot recognize lens. attach it properly”). A month after the warrantee ran out my wife’s camera did this. Sony was not interested, said we had to pay for it to be repaired. For a $600 dollar camera to only last a year is ridicules. We will now be buying a different make that is more reliable and the Sony will stay broken as I do not want to waste any more money on it.

not a good answer

I have Ford cars, even after the warranty has run out they have recalled and fixed at on cost known problems (on our truck that was 3 years after the warranty). The KNOWN problem with this camera happened just over a month after the warranty ended. Sony does not seem to care, a pity as in the past I have had some good Sony Cameras, will stick with Canon and Nikon from now on.
