Why didn't we do this sooner....???

After our front loading washing machine broke 4 times in 8 years, I decided to make a switch. Now I can only wonder why we didn't do this sooner!
After pouring over reviews and consumer ratings on multiple sites/sources for days, I finally decided to purchase this machine for several reasons. Hopefully, the amount of research I did prior to our purchase can help someone else limit theirs. ;)
The first reason I decided on this machine was it's a top loader. I never loved our front loading machine because of the maintenance requirements, and consistent stale smell from wet lint, dog hair etc. that would be left behind in the rubber gasket.
The next reason I selected this machine was because it has a soak cycle available. When I gave up 'soaking' at the time we purchased our front loading machine, I had no idea how much I would miss having it. With active kids, etc, it was a must-have for us.
The last reasons I selected this machine was it's huge capacity (for handling our king size bedding) and warranty.
I admittedly was concerned by the reviews indicating the lack of water used in these top loading HE machines... I just couldn't help but wonder if it would be enough to get items truly clean. So much so, I almost opted for another front loader but ultimately decided since this model offered a 'water plus' feature (essentially allowing you add additional water) coupled with Best Buy's 14 day return policy, I would give it a shot. After several loads of wash, including several very large loads, I can honestly say I have no concerns whatsoever by the amount of water being used and am thrilled with how clean the clothes are coming out.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. Although it was expensive and I haven't gotten to use all the cycles yet, this machine appears to be a keeper. We did purchase the extended warranty, which for us, is uncommon. But, based on the track record of appliances these days, especially our prior washer, it's piece of mind if nothing else.
What's great about it: Easy to operate, quiet, huge capacity, and cleans well
What's not so great: Expensive, Can't select fabric softener with turbo wash cycle, Only one programmable cycle
I would recommend this to a friend!
