I bought this to improve performance during peak hours. (I imagine not much difference if there weren't so many users) For comparison - I was using an SB6141 prior - and now I'm getting much more stable performance. I think my latency is a little worse connecting to my old router - but should be closer if I connect directly to the primary.
Bonus: Since it's also a router in-one. I went ahead and split my devices onto separate networks - to ease congestion.
SmallNetBuilder has a great series on networking basics which covers how to do this. Be sure to change the IP sub-range (192.168.xx.1) to prevent IP conflicts.
*How to check if your area supports it? (if you go to 192.168.100.1 - that should give you access to your cable modem. If you see the channels 8+, odds are you have more to bond to. Although you can keep restarting your modem and see all the different ones it connects to)
