Great solution for great price

My Panasonic plasma has a Bluetooth output but no analog outputs. My Yamaha receiver sounds great but is old and has no hdmi or optical audio inputs. By hooking up this Bluetooth receiver to my Yamaha and by connecting my tv through the Bluetooth out, I am able to use my old Yamaha receiver to play any audio coming out of my TV, including: Xbox, blue ray, and verizon fios. These other items have hdmi going into my tv. Due to the Bluetooth out from my tv, I get the full sound. I realize it would be even better with a new receiver with hdmi capability, but this little Logitech serves me well and saved me $500-$800 on a new receiver.
I compared this to the rocket fish and the Harmon kardon. The Logitech allows two connections at the same time. This is great as I can connect my iPhone as well to listen to amazon prime, iTunes, or anything else on my iPhone through my Yamaha. The rocket fish requires to disconnect the Bluetooth from one device to reconnect to another - very annoying. The Harmon kardon also was not great for two connections at the same time.
I noticed the rocket fish had louder sound pumping through compared to the Logitech, but I equalized that simply by turning up the volume on my Yamaha to compensate. I did not notice much of a sound difference between the Logitech and the Harmon kardon (and the hk was 2x the price of the Logitech).
Overall, this Logitech has been a fantastic solution for me at a very reasonable price.

Do I need a bluetooth TV or will this convert my TV so That I can use Bluetooth enabled speakers

This device connects a Bluetooth enabled product (iPhone, computer, tv with Bluetooth output) to an audio receiver or amp with analog inputs (red and white inputs). If your tv does not have a Bluetooth output, this device will not help. If your plan is to connect your Bluetooth enabled device to your tv (to play your iPhone through tv speakers for some reason), this could work that way.
