SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker II delivers full sound with dramatically deeper lows than you'd expect from a speaker that fits in the palm of your hand. And because it's wireless and ultra-compact, it's easy to take Bose® sound anywhere. With the built-in speakerphone you can take calls out loud with clear sound. And voice prompts make Bluetooth pairing easy. The SoundLink® Mini II can play unplugged for hours and be charged from most USB power sources.

Everything the Soundlink Mibi I should have been.

I owned the first generation of the Soundlink Mini for over a year. I used it almost every day, and have given it as a gift twice -- needless to say, I was a big fan.
The Mini Soundlink II blows it out of the water with just a few simple additions.
It sounds the same, and that's a great thing. This is (small) room-filling sound. The base is there, the mids are easy distinguishable, and the highs are crisp! There are several high-end speakers with a larger form factor that don't sound nearly as good. The DSP Bose uses makes /Bluetooth/ sound phenomenal, which is a heard feat.
They. Finally. Added. A speakerphone. I take conference calls on this thing almost daily and it's wonderful. If you aren't a heavy phone user, you'll still appreciate the ability to be sitting on your couch or porch listening to music and seamlessly take a call. When you're finished, the music is right where you left it.
Another new feature is the integration of a multi-function button.
Want to pause your music, answer, or hang up a call? *click*
Want to skip a track? *click, click*
Decided you wanted to listen to that previous track after all? *click, click, click*
Pick a playlist and leave your phone charging in the other room. Bose has you covered.
On that note, the battery life of this model is significantly improved. The previous generation would barely get me through the day; I left it plugged whenever I could. This does that, then goes beyond. However, if you do get into a bind and need to charge it, you can do so with any micro USB charger. Who doesn't have one of those around? Furthermore, you can do it quickly; two days ago, a 2.1 amp charger put this thing from 40% to 100% in less than an hour. The previous generation easily charged twice as slowly.
In short, if you're thinking about purchasing another ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker, don't. The Bose Mini Soundlink II is head and shoulders above the rest.
Happy listening!
