Cheap mouse but ok
on September 29, 2015
Posted by: firebirdude
I wouldn't pay full price for this mouse, but it goes on super sale often enough. It's a cheap mouse. Buttons click well and the LED lights work fine. There's a button on the underside of the mouse to switch LED colors. From red, to green, to blue, to yellow, to gold and back to red. There doesn't seem to be a LED off function, which disappoints me. There are forward and back buttons on both sides of the mouse which I guess is an attempt to make it ambidextrous, though the right side buttons don't function at all out of the box? The scroll wheel has tread on it, which is nice, and overall feels decent enough. Just rear of the scroll wheel is 3 LED bars which light up depending on the DPI setting you have the mouse set (4 different settings, always red colored). The button to alter the DPI is just rearward of that (so nearly dead center of the entire mouse). Honestly, I think the DPI choices are set too high, but I know that's personal taste. Setting 0 and 1 are all I use. Settings 2 and 3 are just stupid high IMO and it would be nice to turn those offer completely since you want to DROP DPI for those headshots. Makes the whole button scheme worthless unless you normally play on 3 and can tap the button once to switch to 0. Folks in my shoes have to scroll through all the DPIs so I can switch from 1 to 0. My last complaint might be my biggest one, it's awfully lightweight. It gives the whole mouse a cheap feel to it. The mouse's cord is plain/basic with no jacket/braiding. The actual USB connection is one small step above basic. The mouse only includes a very small booklet with only a couple hundred words. No software or anything like that. For the price I paid, I can't complain too much. But I would recommend it to a friend or anything....

Retains Steering Controls, Bose, Rear Seat DVD,etc
on March 14, 2015
Posted by: firebirdude
Works perfectly. Retains everything factory including sat radio, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, OnStar, rear seat dvd player audio, Bose system, etc. Works with both Bose and non-Bose systems. Both connect using regular speaker-level inputs, so you don't have to use your new head unit's RCA outputs for Bose systems, like you do on some older similar interfaces. Comes pre-programming with the steering wheel controls. Nothing special to do or anything. Very easy to install. Clear instructions. If I had to make one complaint, I guess it would be that the main module is a little large. And the chime module is outboard. Would be nice if it was just built right into that module too. Neither warrant losing a star though.

Ok for a child

The chair is chopped foam pieces packed into an undivided fabric casing and comes with a removable colored covering. It comes compressed and vacuum packed. Once the package has been open, the chair begins to inflate and will take ~45 mins to achieve full size. Picking the chair up and forcing the foam clumps around is recommended in the instructions to help break apart the compressed foam. I let mine sit overnight, but it was the same size it was after about 30-45mins. From there, the colored covering has a zipper which unzips the entire bottom portion and fits over the foam portion. Very easy.
Though the chair is physically large enough for an adult, it has zero rigidity to support the weight of any adult male. It's essentially a bean bag chair that just squishes to the floor into a blob. The back is almost nonexistent. I even flipped the chair upside down and forced more foam in the back portion, but it really didn't help at all. This is one, small, step better than just sitting on the ground. I know it was cheap. But it doesn't even deserve to have the word "chair" associated with it. For a 7-8 year old kid, sure. I'm sure it would be more effective. And the removable cover is a nice touch. Seems reasonably thick for something at this price point. But for us "gamers" looking for more places for friends to sit, look elsewhere. I think a real bean bag chair might actually be more effective. To the manufacturer, more foam stuffed into the same size chair please. And I'd also maybe suggest dividing the back and bottom portions a little to help keep foam in the back section.

Compared side-by-side with Jam Plus
on December 29, 2014
Posted by: firebirdude
I have both the Jam Touch and Jam Plus. I compared them both one right after the other using the same connection method, same phone, same song and volume maxed (just to push them to their limit). The overall volume and SQ is every bit as good on the Touch as the Plus. The Plus does have A BIT more bottom end bass, but it's so small I bet some people wouldn't even notice. I was surprised by the volume output from the smaller Touch. It actually might even be a little bit louder than the Plus. Overall, either are more than enough to fill any household room. If you're using in a noisy environment, it'll be fine as long as you're close by. Don't expect to rock the entire beach with it. hahaha But if you're laying beside it, it'll be plenty loud enough.

Little But Powerful Camera
By Slyvest2004 from Romulus, MI
I purchased this on 11/9/2015. It's a pretty small camera but it provides excellent results!
Just note, the camera is designed to start recording when you turn on you're car and stop when you turn it off, but if your cigarette outlet remains powered all the time, the camera will just run constantly so you have to manually stop and turn on the unit

As a heads up, domestic vehicles typically have cig lighters that are powered up all the time. Imports turn on/off with ignition.

Does the job
By MingoPants from Kennewick, WA
It was a 'this is the only option' purchase and wished I would have done more research. When I purchased my Kenwood DDX470 the Best Buy Associate said this is the only one we carry, which isn't the whole truth. That may have been the only one they had in stock at the time but I search the inventory online and the store in shop at does carry others. Regardless, the set up was fairly simple but the instructions were horrible. You definitely need to know about positive and negative currents to understand how to change the view of the camera. The picture quality is okay but horrible at night to the point of almost useless. I only discovered this after I spent a couple hours installing it.

is it ok to angle the "arm" of where the camera is down or do i have to worry about it bending or breaking ?

Yes. It's meant to bend according to your needs. But like any metal, repeat bending will eventually break it.

Does the wires reach from the rear of the car to the dash, if I have an in-dash system for it?

The yellow composite video RCA is long enough to reach the front of just about any car/truck. The power/ground wires are not, as they expect you to ground anywhere in the rear and then tap power at your reverse tail lights. But those wires can easily be extended to run up front. When using an in-dash system, I like to power the camera off an ignition source so it's always on when the car is on. The camera will only be displayed when the vehicle is in reverse. This typically allows the picture is display a little quicker than having to wait an extra second for the camera to power up with reverse lights.

Can the guide lines be removed? Or prefferably moved to aline with my curb. The guide lines are so in the way and annoying.

The grid lines can be removed by snipping a small wire loop on the main wire just off the camera. No, they are not adjustable.

witch remote starter comes in one kit with all parts inculed

Very very few are going to come with everything (or nearly everything) you need in one package. Best Buy SKU 9999221100050000 is a package and 9999212400050036 is another one. They both come with the immobilizer interface module and the labor to install everything. However, please realize that every vehicle is different. Those packages will be all about half of vehicles on the road need. Others may need an extra relay or something similar. Usually no more than $15-$20 more, but just a heads up. Pop into your local Best Buy and ask to speak to their Autotechs for an exact quote.

Possibly. Best Buy does car audio/video installations, but it depends on what exactly is wrong with your setup. Visit your local Best Buy and ask to speak to the Autotechs.
