Great, but wouldn't use it as my primary computer
on May 16, 2017

Hands down I'm a Mac girl. I was so heartbroken to have to purchase a PC but I needed it for school because all the software and programs they use are made for windows and I wasn't about to boot camp my Mac or buy one for that purpose so I set out for a PC within my schools recommended specs. This one fit the bill and while it's not a Mac it'll do.
One of the things I really like about this is the PC to tablet option, I don't notice too much of a lag when putting it in tablet mode as others have mentioned, which is nice. That being said, due to the touchscreen nature of this computer I feel I need the brightness up a little more than I typically would which drains the battery quicker. It seems more reflective and can be really difficult to see in bright rooms or if there happens to be any light hitting the screen even on full brightness.
Even though it has 4GB of RAM it can still be a little long in the tooth when loading, sometimes it takes a little while when it's waking up to play nice which can be annoying. The only program I have installed on this computer is microsoft office and even that can be slow to load but that's not at all uncommon for that program.
I have no doubt the hard drive space will allow me to keep up with all the requirements of my classes and will allow me to save the things I've worked on and submitted. I shoot with a DSLR at times and haven't even come close to filling up my mac with large and RAW formats and that only has 128gb space, it'll take me forever to fill this up with simple word docs and power points.
One of the major pros to this is that it charges quickly and I don't feel the need to have my charger with me at all times which is one of the big reasons I moved away from PCs initially.
The touchpad on this could be a lot better. While I do like that it uses some of the same gestures as a Mac making it easier to switch between the two, I much prefer to use a USB mouse with this particular machine. It just seems very jumpy and I often get frustrated when I have to use it because it's not very smooth or accurate. If I don't have my mouse with me I often use the touchscreen feature because that's more reliable than the touchpad.
I know other reviewers mentioned the keyboard being funky and throwing them off but I don't have that problem at all. It did take me a while to figure out that the Fn key initiated all the F1-10 commands even though my Mac is set up like that. Last PC I had you still had to use the Fn key to get to it's secondary function.
Overall, I feel that this will get me through school just fine, I should be done in two years so I'm hoping it'll last that long for me with it only being used for school and not being my primary computer. If this were my primary computer I'd probably return it and get something different because some of it's flaws would drive me nuts on a regular basis, especially with some of the design software I use.

Great vacuum for the price
on May 16, 2017

I purchased this vacuum when my old one just quit working when I bumped it on the couch while vacuuming. Having two cats I couldn't go very long without buying a new one so I bought this one based on price and reviews. It's easier to list pros and cons so here goes.
Pros:
-Great suction even with the tools, the mini vacuum hose attachment works so amazingly well! Great for stairs and furniture.
-Tool Storage, love how the wands all stack inside of each other
-Retractable cord! Huge plus to this vacuum, cord is super long too.
-Lightweight, my scrappy 9 year old son carried this to our 2nd floor condo because I had just had knee surgery and he did it with ease. Also, it was light enough that I could vacuum with it after just having knee surgery.
-Easy empty cup. Just release the latch over the garbage can and the dirt is gone
-Brush head only engages when vacuum is tilted. This is awesome because it doesn't spin when you're using the hose and tools.
-Hose is easy to clean. With the powerful suction of this vacuum I've sucked up a few things I didn't intend and it's super easy to disconnect the hose and dump out the unruly passengers.
-Hose is really wide which makes it easy for clumps of pet hair to pass through. My cats had a favorite spot under the couch and when I moved it I brushed as big of a pile as I could with my hands just to see how the vacuum would handle it, sucked it up no problem when my last vacuum would've clogged.
-Rubber beater brush on the mini vacuum head makes pet hair not stand a chance. The amount of fur left behind by my last vacuum was crazy, this vacuum got it all up with no issues.
Cons:
-Can be diifficult to push. The height settings on this vacuum are way different than any others. I have just a simple rug in my living room and normally use a bare floor setting on it with every other vacuum I've owned but this one I have to set to a higher pile setting.
-Mini vacuum head falls off when just barely touched. It's not very secure in it's storage spot so I've knocked it off more than a few times, wish it had just a bit more holding it in place.
-Using it on bare floors sounds like a machine gun. It's super loud to the point where I just sweep and vacuum the pile up with the hose because it's that loud.
I know it had been a few days past when I normally would've vacuumed but the stuff this one picked up that my old one left behind is amazing. It cleans so much better and the suction on it is way better than the other purple animal vacuum. I only gave it four stars because the carpet pile setting can be a bit tricky and difficult to figure out. I do have to change it to a lower setting for the bedrooms and a higher setting for the rug which is slightly annoying.

Does it have a precision touchpad?

Nope. I actually think the touchpad on this one is awful, I end up using a USB mouse most of the time.

Does this come with open office or a free word document program? Also does it come with Windows movie maker?

Mine came with Office 2016, I uninstalled it and put Office 2013 on it because I feel that version is a little more user friendly.

How long is the hose and extension wand?

I can easily use the hose, extension wand, and the crevice tool to reach the corners of my standard 8 ft ceilings. I'm 5'7" so I could do it with just the hose and wand if I wanted to.

Is this vacuum self propelled?

No, it's not, but finding the right carpet setting is key to making it easy to push.

will this work on HIgh pile shag rugs ?

I would see if you can get a sample of the carpet and try it in the store before you buy it. I have difficulty with it on just standard carpeting sometime. We also have a rug with a low pile and if the height setting is too low it's impossible to push.
