Who would have thought there'd ever come a time when desperately searching the environment for what little resources you can find to survive was your idea of relaxing? While the daylight hours may be filled with scavenging for supplies and weapons, the fact that the sun shines in the sky eases your anxiety, because you know what happens the moment it dips beyond the horizon. With the dying light comes a host of horrors that turn the hunter into the hunted. Hoards of infected become aggressive and increase in numbers, searching for you as you searched for weapons to kill them just hours before. But the infected aren't even the most frightening threat. There's something else out there that lurks in the darkness, a more sinister predator that stalks its prey. You are that prey.Set in a vast and dangerous open world, Dying Light drops you in the middle of a waking nightmare in a first-person survival horror experience that will have your heart pounding and adrenaline pumping the second night falls. During the day, you're free to roam the expansive urban environment to scavenge for supplies and craft the weapons you need to defend yourself against the victims of a vicious outbreak. A variety of melee weapons, including knives, bats, axes, sledgehammers and more, are at your disposal, as well as guns and other firepower. The sizeable crafting system enables you to create a slew of more powerful, more potent weapons and equipment with specialized ammunition. You'll need every weapon you can lay your hands on to survive the night — when the infected roam free and the night-loving predators begin their hunt. Whether you're tracking prey or evading predators, you can seamlessly leap between buildings, grapple up walls and pounce on enemies with free running movement. With breathtaking visuals and immersive gameplay, powered by Chrome Engine 6, you'll begin to fear the night right along with your character. But your only chance is to face the dying light and use every ounce of wit, skill and courage you have to survive until morning comes.

Not horrible and not good. Not worth $59.99

I will admit for the past year me and my teenage boys were excited for this game. It looked good at E3 and you tube. My boys pre-ordered on Xbox one so I figured I would see how it is before ordering it on my PS4. The boys were excited yesterday to get it put it in and start playing after downloading from disc. I watched my oldest play for about an hour and thought. “I am sure glad I didn’t waste my $60 bucks on this” I got bored watching my son play the game, I actually dozed off. I wanted to see what would happen at night but walked away after an hour. After my oldest played for 3 hours he turned it over to his brother. After an hour I went down to check on him, he was playing COD AW. I asked why he wasn’t playing DL? He told me, “Boring and dumb”. I asked my oldest what he thought said, “okay I guess, getting bored of it, control layout is horrible and game gets boring. Wish I would have used money for COD AW season pass.” This morning they are both debating about trading it in tonight to get as much as possible back in trade in. That to me is shocking since they love Dead Island series. My thoughts when I watched it. Okay graphics not “Killer graphics” the plot was boring nothing to keep you interested, remember I feel asleep while watching it. But my boys played it and they don’t like it and they love zombie games. Glad I didn’t pre-order asked boys if they had buyers remorse and they said, “yes, wasted $60 game isn’t worth it more like $25” Asked me if they could return it say it’s defective to get money back. Told them “No” this I is what happens at times when you pre-order before reviews come out. From my point save your money wait till fall when it is $25 bucks. My boys review, “Don’t waste your money”. 
