I love Jimi Hendrix, and this is a great classic album. However, the album I got is skipping all over the place on my brand new turntable. I might have to look out for other albums done by "Quality" Record Pressings.

I had been searching for a great new TV for the living room, something big, high quality, and good to play games on. This display is everything I could have asked for.
Rtings.com rated this their best gaming TV of 2015, and while I was skeptical because of all the fancy features (post-processing! UGH!), it definitely lives up to the title. My first test was on Rock Band 3 and it basically proved them right. A 720p picture, upscaled to 4K, running audio through the TV and out to a miniamp. Played the game with 0ms audio calibration and 20ms video, PERFECT RESULTS. This is a huge thing for anybody who plays music games seriously, and is an amazing benchmark for a TV's performance.

On top of that, it looks amazing. The colors are great, there's a very low response time which makes it looks smooth, and I didn't see any noticeable jittering.
As far as stock audio goes, it's still not up to par with an external system but it definitely sounds better than almost any other basic TV speaker.
There are even a couple minor details that give this set bonus points, such as analog input and outputs! This eliminated my need to purchase a DAC since most TVs only have optical out. You can also plug in old consoles using the component and composite inputs.
Bottom line: If you're a gamer, this TV is worth every penny.

I'll be upfront: I hate Windows 8 and this is the only reason that I dislike this laptop and will likely return it.
On paper this laptop is amazing. The processor, RAM, graphics chip, and other features all add up to an amazing machine packed into a very well-built metal case. The 1080p screen is crisp and bright. The sound is above average, and to my surprise includes an external subwoofer.
But if you're one of those tech-savvy folks who could not 'get' Windows 8 (for me, because I feel that it's a horrible mess and much harder to navigate), just skip this. I've been trying to make Windows 7 play nice but all of the stupid little issues amount to a giant headache. The USB controller won't install (no thumbdrives!), the two graphics adapters are fighting each other, the Safe Boot and UEFI shenanigans made even outright installation impossible until I erased the entire drive... including recovery partitions. I can not revert this back to factory software without paying for discs. This entire mess, because somebody at Microsoft or Asus (or both) decided that we shouldn't be able to choose our operating system.
It's a dealbreaker for me, and unless something decides to work miraculously, I will return this laptop and probably build a desktop that I KNOW will allow the software I choose, not what's forced upon me.

What type of wall mount is needed for the 55" curve?
Any sturdy 400x400 VESA mount that can handle the ~50lbs weight and 55" size of this set.

Does this tv generate lag? Ghosting? Afterimages?
I recently returned a cheap tv due to the problems above im looking to spend big on a great tv and i want to make sure it wont be a problem i usually play sports games and watch sports i dnt want afterimages or ghosting let alone lag please help
I play music games (Rock Band, Beatmania) which REQUIRE low/no lag and ghosting. I can not recommend this TV enough, it is amazing.
