Excellent upgrade from the SurroundBar 360

The Polk SurroundBar 360 was problematic from the day I first set it up. The dvd player/controller was replaced multiple times; each unit had its own unique quirks. I decided to get something new once the SurroundBar shorted the sub - which was not originally included but an additional purchase. And I'd be a fool to pass up on the sale price.
The SB1 was easy to setup; it's low profile was a much needed enhancement, and meant I no longer had to hold the remote high in the air for the TV to pick up the signal. yay!
As soon as I installed the Polk app on my phone, it was simple to setup on my Wi-Fi network. A software upgrade was immediately downloaded, however a 2nd app needed to be downloaded in order actually install the update on the SB1. It would have been nice to have a single integrated app. But all that was easily sorted out.
Once the update was complete, the unit immediately responded to my remote and has worked perfectly since. I doubt I will use the app to stream music, finding it easier to simply Chromecast it to the TV itself.

No documentation is not necessarily a bad thing: it's basically plug-n-play. I have been a fan of NAD Electronics for a long time. They got really weird a few years ago and cut back who/where/why you could purchase their products to the point they were unavailable and ridiculously expensive. I'm glad to see they've reversed that terrible business strategy and hope Best Buy begins to carry more of NAD's products. I'm still using the NAD AV 318 amp I purchased 20 years ago, and the DAC unit was a pleasant addition. Sound quality does not get any better than NAD.

I had it less than a month when I received an error - a foreboding static "E" on the display. The phone app notified me soon afterwards. I contacted Dyson via email through the app, but that went in circles. When I arrived home that evening, I called. The Dyson agent issued a return notice. I dropped it off at a UPS store, they boxed it and shipped it back to Dyson. I am currently waiting the replacement. The UPS agent commented that they have sent a lot of these back to Dyson.
The unit itself worked wonderfully until its fatal flaw - which sounded like the motor locking up when it was switched on. The Dyson air purifier's absence was noticeable when I returned home from work today, as the air was a bit musty and still held the faint odor of last night's T-bone.
Currently, I patiently await the arrival of the replacement unit. Hopefully it will be a corrected generation, cleansing the air of my abode once again.

So, it's been over 2 months since I returned the defective unit. However, I finally received the replacement unit yesterday. Hopefully, this one will last longer than a month. If I could figure out how to edit my original review, I'd drop it to 2 stars.

I know it can be turned on within the house via wifi. But can it be turned on from else where? I would like to turn it on 2 hours b4 i get home.
yes, you can turn it on with our phone app. I leave mine on automatic during the day and it comes on when it needs to.
