Chose This over Roku Insignia/Sharp

The biggest complaints for the other ROKU-imbedded TV choices were the minimal Roku remote with no numbers. This one has a more regular remote which like most TVs today it depends on since there are no controls on the TV. Choosing numbers/letters on a screen keyboard is pain. The TV itself is very light,8.5 lbs.One reason I did not give it 5 stars, is, I nearly stripped the screws on one side putting the feet underneath the TV. Should not have soft metal(aluminum?) for such a task. Not a great TV using the antenna( got 15 digital channels using an indoor RCA flat panel) and only one local network channel(CBS) at that. To be fair, it was in the basement so reception wasn't great, pixelation was an issue but the colors are bright and very good. I will extend the antenna higher up next and see what happens.
However, sticking an HDMI. Roku Express does wonders with WIFI(Verizon Fios)on this TV. Images and channels were sharp(despite it's 720p rating) with no problems. Definitely a excellent low cost TV for streaming. Wish it has 3 HDMI ports so I can also stick a DVD player and Cable but, most likely with streaming, you really don't need it. I got it on sale for under $120 which is awesome consider I paid $1800 for my main 40" Sony LCD TV a few years ago. No missing pixels so far, so far so good. I would definitely recommend this as a second or third TV for a guest room, dorm, basement or garage. 4.5 stars is my true rating.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this like the older insignia TVs, 12 V DC with a 110 transformer? Or is it strictly 110?

Strictly 110v, the one I picked up was manufactured on March 2017. pretty fresh consider it was in a Chinese factory about 10,000 miles away.
