A must have lens

This new lens has surpassed many of the prime lenses in this Canon range for sharpness, especially corner sharpness. It surpasses the Canon 2.8 version for color rendition. Unless you are shooting indoor sports where you'll need the extra stop for speed don't spend the extra money.

Canon EF 24–70mm f/2.8L II USM Standard Zoom Lens: Built to handle the demands of professional use, this lens is durable as well as dust- and water-resistant. Fluorine coatings on the front and rear surfaces keep smudges and fingerprints to a minimum.

Best overall lens from Canon

I've been using this lens for about 6 months now and find that it has become a permanent fixture on my 5DIII. The zoom range fits well with both indoor and outdoor framing and the speed is perfect for indoor shots without flash. The 61 focus points help but this lens looses nothing when used on my 6D body the has 11 fp. I now keep this lens on my 5DIII and a 70-300L on my 6D both in my bag and can cover whatever I'm thrown up against. You can't go wrong with this lens.

has anyone used the canon 200mm f2.8 for night football games?
The only way to successfully conquer this would be to mate it to a 6D so you have the extra high ISO speeds. You'll loose depth of field but using the 6D works well because of the limited focus points. It becomes easier to follow and focus the subject quickly.

Will the EF 24-105 F/4 L IS USM from Canon be available through best buy by as special order?
This lens, although great in its time, has been seemingly replaced by many now using a 24-70 and a 70-200. Both of those lenses are at the top of Canon customers' must have list due to improved glass and one more stop.

Do you plan to add Sony 16-80 F3.5 Carl Zeiss lens? if so when?
Although a great lens I doubt the volume would be there for BB to handle. Maybe on a third party basis but not in stock.
