It's been over 15 years since Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell) was terrorized by psychotic hitchhiker John Ryder (the always-evil Rutger Hauer) in Eric Red's low-budget gem The Hitcher. After blowing away the psychopath, Jim turned to the law and eventually settled down with Maggie (Kari Wuhrer), a pilot from the local airfield. When his violent visions of the past end up jeopardizing his job, the couple travel back to the same Texas strip as before to face his demons. Little do they know what lies ahead -- yep, another crazy psychotic hitchhiker (Jake Busey)! Can Jim relive the same nightmare twice or will Maggie have to step up to the plate to defeat the grinning menace? From Corman-bred director Louis Morneau (Bats) comes this long-awaited sequel to one of the biggest cult films of '80s cable and video history.

I've loved this movie since I first saw it many years ago. You can't go wrong with chevy chase and nell carter. Both perfect fits for their parts! You won't ever forget Nell doing her voodoo dance and chevy talking like donald duck!

I enjoyed this movie for being as old as it is. The special effects did suck, Didn't realize how bad it once was! Movie got me addicted to the song that was playing during one scene. Worth watching.

Pretty Darn Good

I liked the plot and the two girls in it were adorable actresses! Didn't plan on staying up so late to watch it but couldn't put it on pause. I love horror and gore. Of course this had no gore but it still made me jump once and that rarely ever happens. Don't mess with mama!
My Best Buy number: 551124286
What's great about it: It's kind of mythical
What's not so great: didn't exactly like the ending but what can you do

Was very happy to finally be able to get this cd/dvd pack. Have enjoyed all of her music. Lots of typos in the liner notes. Nice book like packaging. This is my favorite album of mine. Runaway horses barely slips to #2.

Nice but no Google Play

Was going to be my first tablet and I wanted the biggest screen size I could afford. This met that criteria. I had no idea that google play was so important with these devices. It is not google play compatible and the only apps are thru Amazon and the netflix app was messed up. Sure you could hear a movie perfectly fine but viewing it was another story. The screen would turn all green and after searching on my computer I guess that's a common problem with some Netflix apps. One fix was to download an older version of google play. Well that only froze the unit up. Checking email was okay but to enlarge a picture I would have to save it then go somewhere else to view it. That wasn't convenient enough for me. Two strikes was all it took. It is a very nice tablet, with a beautiful screen and fast processor. . Just not for my use.

What's great about it: speed, size, screen
What's not so great: only apps are thru Amazon and most don't work.

Synapse has rescued another twisted gem from video oblivion with this handsome edition of Christmas Evil. The video transfer improves upon the past Troma edition with an impressive anamorphic widescreen transfer taken from the vault elements: both detail and color levels are rich, really bringing out the film's carefully crafted "yuletide" look in style. It's also worth noting that this is a director's cut version that reinstates a few extra dramatic scenes into the running time. The audio portion of the disc retains the original mono soundtrack, which sounds good and has been mastered well. There's also a plethora of extras. First up is a pair of commentary tracks, a solo track by writer/director Lewis Jackson and another that pairs Jackson with fellow director and fan John Waters. The solo track is a serious one devoted mainly to behind-the-scenes stories and the genesis of the film while the track with Waters is more lighthearted, with Waters pulling some additional amusing stories from Jackson about the events surrounding the film's making and how it was distributed. Each track has some gaps and there's a certain amount of informational overlap between the two but each track is a worthwhile listen for fans. There's also nearly a half hour's worth of audition videos for the film, with an impressive group of actors like JoBeth Williams and Michael Beck. Elsewhere, the viewer is treated to a few deleted scenes, some storyboard samples and, best of all, a pretty hilarious selection of viewer comment cards from a test screening. All in all, this is an enjoyable and informative package that does Christmas Evil justice, making it a worthwhile holiday pick for the cult movie fan.

Peter Medak's haunted house thriller The Changeling comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include cast and crew biographies. Genre enthusiasts will enjoy this disc, and the film's fans will appreciate the fine transfer, but there is not much here to interest a non-fan.

I'm a horror/gore fan and love to be scared not that it happens anymore. I really liked this movie. Is far better than the paranormal movies. The ending confused me just a tad bit. But answered my own thought !
