Canon EF 70–300mm f/4–5.6 IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens: If you're looking for a lens that gets you close to the action, this versatile telephoto zoom lens provides a longer reach for sports, weddings and events, nature photography and more. It's equipped with an image stabilizer, so you can create sharp photos and video while using slower shutter speeds. And when you're not shooting, the zoom lock button lets you keep the lens securely fixed in place.

Good IS, not the most sharp pictures
By kera from Shrewsbury, MA
The best part of the lens is the Image Stabilization. It works great and I was able to get some good pictures in a poorly light stage show without using a tripod. Picture quality is good but not great as compared to the similarly priced 70-200mm L series. Zoom works great and is reasonably fast. Lens is fairly inconspicuous with its black finish and you won’t be mistaken for pro photographer. Overall it is good value for money and if you are looking for a carry around lens for quick snaps outside the playground or inside and auditorium, this is the lens for you. But if you are a picture quality freak and do not mind carrying the tripod around, checkout the 70-200mm L.

Sharpness and Image Stabilization: Turn it Off!
November 7, 2011
kera--
One thing everyone needs to keep in mind about Image Stabilization is that if you are using a tripod, you need to turn the I.S. off! Image Stabilization tries to steady the lens when you are hand holding it, but if the camera is motionless, the I.S. keeps going and tries to stabilize an image that is otherwise perfect, particularly if there is the slightest motion in the subject. This doesn't result in a motion blur in the final image, but on high resolution -- the full resolution of the image, for instance -- you will lose some sharpness and a general lack of definition will result.
Remember -- shut it off if you don't need it!

ACTUALLY 2X4 GB!!!!
By mwsphotos from Portland, Oregon
Buyer beware - the photo on the website does not match the product that arrives. What actually came in the mail today was two 4-GB chips. I was hoping to expand my laptop from 4 gb (2X2gb) to 10 gb(1X8gb & 1X2gb). BEWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. The photo I am attaching is the exact package that arrived today. If you are able to zoom in on the product UPC, the number on the package matches the product UPC on this product.

The photo on the Best Buy website is generic -- the Patriot packaging is all pretty much the same. Actually, the photo shows TWO completely different types of DIMMs -- one over the other -- and the package may include either or neither depending on what you ordered.
Most laptops that used the DDR2 -- an older type of memory -- cannot use 1 X 8GB SoDIMMs; the architecture will not support it. Next time you need work done on your PC, you probably ought to let Best Buy do it for you.
