Pros and Cons of this Console

Hi everybody! I am going to be commenting on what I like and don't like about the upcoming Xbox One X console. It's unfair to say what I don't like, considering that the "likes" outweigh the "dislikes". I have always been a console gamer. I do have a few games on my PC, but I do like the advantage of console gaming. All I have to do is put the disc in the tray and press start. I know that it will run it each and every time without having to worry about system requirements and whether or not my hardware is powerful enough to run the games I want to play. That is a big pro to any console out there. Not just the XBox One X. I think that's one of the big reasons that people choose to be console gamers. The graphics may look better on PC, but it's nice that Microsoft is releasing the XBOX One X so that console gamers can have close to the same graphic beauty as a PC player. It definitely makes me happy. I also like the fact that there is a 4K Blu-Ray player in the XBox One X. There is one in the S model as well. I don't know what Sony was thinking when they left it out of the Playstation 4 Pro.
The only thing I can think of that would be a con to this system is the 1tb Hard Drive. Not so much the space, considering that I have a 5tb external hard drive that I would be plugging into it to use, but the fact that it's a standard Hard Drive. The XBOX One Elite that came out a few years back had a SSD drive in it, I do believe. They called it a Hybrid Drive. Not sure if there's a big difference or not. But I know it ran a lot quieter on the Elite than it did on the standard XBox One consoles. Probably less moving parts. I dunno. Anyway, that's really all I wanted to say about it. I am really looking forward to November. Can't get here fast enough.

This phone is amazing!!!

For a cheap budget phone, I have to say that the Motorola G5 Plus is, by far, the best choice for somebody wanting a GOOD phone for a fraction of the cost. I am a Cricket Wireless customer and I took the SIM card out of my old phone I was using on Cricket and placed it into my Moto after starting it up. My service transferred automatically with no problems. I was getting LTE speeds, the reception was exactly somewhat better in certain areas than on my old phone, and the Android 7.0 operating system is lightning fast. The 4gb of RAM definitely help that speed along, as well. I have so much fun with this phone. I totally missed having an android, as my old phone was a Windows phone. There are a lot of little bells and whistles with this phone as well. If you are considering this phone, and you are not sure yet, take the plunge like I did and just buy it. You will NOT be disappointed.

Compatible with XBOX One S!!

This is my review of this excellent product. At first, I was very baffled by the thin nature of this thing. I really like the overall look of it and enjoy all the benefits and features that it has to offer as well. For those of you wanting to know if it is compatible with the XBOX One S, I can tell you that it is....BUT....you have to know two important things to get it to work right or it won't work. First of all, in order for the XBOX One S to recognize the 60hz, 2.2, and HDR10 requirements, you HAVE TO plug the HDMI cord into Port 2 or 3. Port 1 or 4 do not work for it. Then do a complete power cycle of the XBOX One S (turn it off, unplug it, count to 30, plug it back in, and turn it back on again). When it comes back up, it should automatically detect it and you will be good to go. But wait! There's one more step before you power cycle it! You have to go to the TV's menu settings and change the HDMI output to Enhanced instead of Standard. And use the HDMI cord that comes with the XBOX One S. It took me a whole day to figure both of these things out and lots of time spent with Sony Support Chat and XBox Support Chat. Thanks so much!! LOL But it is a GREAT product and you're getting all the features and benefits of the XBOX One S with it. I don't use it to watch TV. I don't have a cable connection where I keep my television. This is strictly for Netflix, YouTube, and gaming. For those three needs, I am thoroughly impressed! I upgraded from an old Westinghouse 40" LCD 1080p TV with no bells and whistles at all. The thing was bulky and heavy as well. When I got this one, I was like...WOW!!! Definitely amazing.

It's okay

I think this controller is okay. It's not the best that I have ever seen, but I think it works for it's purpose. A few things that I see that could possibly be changed on it...
1) Put a button on it that will turn on the PS4 instead of having to use the button directly on the console or the Dualshock 4 controller. This would make it a lot easier, especially if the controller(s) are charging and cannot be used at the moment. This would also be perfect for people who are disabled and cannot walk, let alone get up off of wherever they are just to walk over to the PS4 and turn it on. PLEASE, Insignia, add a new remote that has a push start button on it that will turn on the console.
2) I don't understand why they made a remote that takes AAA batteries when the Dualshock 4 controllers have built in batteries that are charged through either a charging station or a USB cord. PHONES these days have batteries that are charged through USB cords. Why can't remotes be the same way? Why are media remote controls still in the stone age with designs that require batteries to be replaced in them every couple of months when they wear out? Why not just create a simple remote with a built in battery that you plug a USB into the bottom of and charge that way? It makes it a lot easier for us without having to run to Wal-Mart every couple of months or so just to pick up batteries because I can't turn on my TV.
Other than that, great remote! Please consider my ideas, however, and make a more solid product. Thanks!

An RPG that's not an RPG

I am a diehard Final Fantasy fan that is probably going to get back into it after being completely unhappy with this choice of game.
Final Fantasy XIII was the first Final Fantasy that Square Enix took upon themselves to make more into a third person shooter than an actual developing roleplay game. I enjoyed the aspects of Final Fantasy where you could relax in towns without having to be plagued by fights and more and more creatures.
Final Fantasy XIII is merely a story that throws the players at more and more creatures and doesn't even give players the opportunity to determine their own path throughout the game. It's not really an RPG. Not really. An RPG is like Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls where players can choose how their character evolves and what happens to the story. Remain good and fight for good, or turn evil and fight for the dark side. THAT is an RPG. Final Fantasy XIII doesn't offer any of that. You're pretty much just along for the ride.

I love this series
By ewflex
I am dissappointed in not having at least the Multiplayer in uncharted 2 or 3(one or the other or the best maps of both). I just hope the graphics and upgrades are worthy of the series and i cant wait to play the Uncharted 4 MP beta. I am giving a 5 star because of the series and hope the collection of all 3 games will be at a high standard.

OMG I can't wait
August 10, 2015
I just saw this on Best Buy because I was interested in pre-ordering Uncharted 4, although I have not played any of the other Uncharted games. When I saw that this is coming out in October, I was immediately happy about it. I can't wait! It's going to be great! Does anybody know if this is going to be a "port" or a full blown remaster of the game as far as graphics improvements and such? I'm sure it will be fine either way for me. I'm not too worried about it. I will still play it regardless.
As far as the other people's comments about being disappointed that there's no multiplayer in it, I am not worried at all about that. I don't usually play multiplayer portions of a game because a lot of multiplayer games can't be handled by my PS4 since I have it hooked up to wi-fi. I don't have a way to hook it up with a cord to my modem since both are on opposite sides and floors of the house from one another. So I will be just as happy and content with the single player versions of these games. I will be honest, however.....I will probably get the Digital Edition on Playstation Store rather than the disks. Or I might get the disks if they are packaged in separate cases within a larger box. If it's just one box with a foldout portion that has the disks side by side in it, I am not really crazy about those. I guess we'll find out. Anyway, I can't wait!
