This unit arrived at my house in a battered and broken shelf display box. I thought, "Considering the item was more than $200 they could have sprung for an extra box or shipping protection. Nah, it'll be fine." I was so very wrong. I set it up and plugged it in. And nothing. It just blinked at me. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Still blinking, but this time it had an error code of E1 displayed. I consulted the owner's manual. It said that E1 refers to the unit's inability to detect the current room temperature. The fix was to cycle power and if it doesn't fix it then the unit needs replacement.
I'm not totally sure if it was the manufacturer or the shipping, but either way I have to endure another night with out the AC.
