I;m a huge tremors fan i have all 4 movies and the entire series on DVD...and i still watv them several times a year.
Tremors has just the right amount of everything i think it's the kind of movie you'll want to watch again and again.
i'm very happy it's coming to blu-ray i can't wait to buy it in november so if you are the kind of person who likes old tme desert monster movies with plenty of scares and laughs then this is for you ENJOY! BECAUSE I KNOW I WILL.....
What's great about it: Are you kidding ? everything is great about this movie
What's not so great: only one thing which is they stopped makng the tremors movies
If you are a marvel fan or even if you are not this is a fun movie with great effects...now i have this movie on DVD as well and i can tell you that i have seen both dvd and blu-ray versions on the same tv with all the same settings and the blu-ray definately looks and sounds better than the dvd imo...
What's great about it: the acting and the effects
What's not so great: needed alittle more action i think...
Still grieving the tragic death of her parents, Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) returns to Mystic Falls High School with hopes of reconnecting with her friends and nurturing what family she has left. All hopes of a normal year fade, however, when she meets Stephen Salvatore (Paul Wesley), a new student, and his brother, Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The siblings share more than just dark good looks, a deep interest in Elena - they're both vampires, and one of them won't stop until he's gotten a taste of Elena's blood.

Ok i might be bias little here but i think this is f the best TV series of this genre ....let me break it down for you.
1. the storyline is interesting and complex but not hard to follow
2. They actually follow "THE REAL RULES OF VAMPIRES" or at least close enough for me.
3. it's perfectly cast and the acting is great the actors really inhabit those roles no apparent OVER ACTING here.and it doesn't hurt that the cast is pretty above average in the looks deparment and they don't stare at the ground and mumble their lines with there eyes half open...they are there awake and getting the job done in brilliant form. I have to admit when i first heard about this show i wasn't expecting much however i soon realized that this is one awesome show well written and well acted..
What's great about it: Oh everything really don't like "uncle john too much though.
What's not so great: uncle john gilbert from season two needs his hand cut off..
No one can go wrong with this movie it's very well done it's a laugh a minute it keeps your interest it has a good pace great wrighting great acting great cast and a ton of extras including both theatrical and extended versions of the film and it's a great blu-ray transfer! but be warned don't get this movie unless you really like to laugh until your sides hurt because they will.......
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: nothing it's a great movie that i'll watch again and again...

i have had this series as well as hercules for years now on DVD and it is awesome intense and funny the acting is spot on and so it the production value in fact it's much better than the garbage the put on TV these days and if i were rich i would get a new tv and a blu ray player so i could buy this in the blu ray format but i work for a living so thats not an option for me...still it is great....
I don't own the DVD yet but i will soon i do watch the show every week however and it's fresh clever smart funny well acted directed and written.
Futermore no one seems out of place on this show they are all very well suited for thier charactors the show is a hoot! and i always look forward to seeing it.
What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: When a seasons over it always seems like the future of the show is up in the air
Transferred to DVD in a widescreen anamorphic picture format (1.85:1), this film comes with only a single audio track option, Dolby 2.0 Stereo, a deficit partly compensated by the DTS Surround Sound. Closed-captioning is also included. Among the bonus features are an audio commentary by actors David Naughton and Griffin Dunne; interviews with Rick Baker and John Landis; a making-of documentary/featurette; production stills, notes, and storyboards; and the usual theatrical trailers. Picture quality is what would be expected from an '80s film brought over to a DVD version.

This is my all time favorite movie and i have been saying that consistantly since 1981 i can't tell you how many times i have seen it it's that good.
I was lucky enough to get 2 free movie screening passes to see this a month before it was released in theaters and the main reason i first wanted to see this was for Jay Chou because i thought he was a good actor in Initial D. This was actually good, it had a lot of action in it mixed with comedy. Definitely something worth checking out. Never seen the old Green Hornet so i dont know how this lives up to it but I believe they did a good job. I might be adding this to my blu ray collection!
I couldn't wait for this movie to come out in the Theater.... Even the Music was awesome with Bjork, Roxy Music and others...
I Was first in line to see this one ! When the movie first started I thought I was in the wrong theater and that I had wandered into a horror movie, it looked nothing like the movie trailers I had been seeing on TV ... but after 10-15 minutes we were fighting Humongous Shogun Warriors Matrix style !!! Cinematics were a blast ! The story was suspenseful and Very Visual. It was different rooting for some Chicks instead of Bruce Willis or Some wimpy spider-man dork.
I was jammin during this movie both with the action and the tunes !!!
After it was over, When I was leaving the theater I was saying that I'm going to OWN a 3D TV before that movie comes out for home viewing. ....I worked hard, replaced a lot of equipment, bought new cables, 3D glasses, Blu-ray 3D player, etc and was ALL ready for the release. well, here's the big release..... (hear the crickets?)
What, no 3D ??????????????????????????????????
I'm not buying it.

I'm soo sorry but i can't bring myself to feel sorry for anyone who can afford a new 3D TV and blu-ray player etc....besides more than likely there will be a 3D release in the future in the mean time there are alot of other great movies in 3D.
so no sympathy from me on this one because alot of people work very hard and still can't afford a set up like that...
This three-pack features Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, as well as Joe Johnston's Jurassic Park III.

Extremely grainy, the Worst Transfer Ever!
ByrelfaithfromBuffalo, NY
Being a Jurassic Park fan, I rushed out to but the Blu-ray trilogy on its release date. I have never been so disappointed in a digital transfer of a movie in my life. My old DVD's of Jurassic Park have a better picture than the new blu-rays. I am astounded that Universal would do such a poor job on the transfer of the films. I have other movies from Universal that are much older, like "The Blues Brothers" blu-ray (1980), and the picture of that is excellent. Not this! As a consumer, I expect a package labeled as "Perfect picture and sound" to be more than a slogan typed on a package. Whoever did the transfer for these movies didn't clean up the film at all. It looks more like a digital transfer of an old VHS tape that had been played 100 times. I have over 200 Blu-rays and none of them look as poor as this. Now I have to find out how to get my money back.

looks very good for me

I have a 37in 120hz 1080P HDTV AND A SONY BDP-N460 BLU-RAY PLAYER WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE.. these movies look almost as good as avatar on my set up i have watched them several times now looking for gainyness etc and could not find any such issues i have found that sometimes a disk is not quite right and i take it back and they will exchange it...other times it is just a matter of getting the dust off the tv screen which can make any movie look grainy and adjusting it better for that movie. this set is incredible and i have no regrets with the purchase i would say replace the disk if that doesnt solve it fiddle with the backlight contrast sharpness etc until it looks right to you or get a firmware update for your blu-ray player if you do all that and it's still not right then either you are being too picky or you need a new BETTER TV.
I have bought 3 copies of this BLU-Ray and NONE OF THEM WORK!!!!!

it certainly does work

My friend you need to look into updating the firmware on your blu-ray player take it in to be serviceed or buy another one...because odds are overwhelming that after buying 3 blu-rays of the same movie it has to be your equipment and not the movie that is causing you issue. then again you might just have the worst possible luck in the world in which case i would have to ask did you upset anyone who knows vcoodoo ?
Very entertaining movie even today. It shows us how good the special effects were even by today's standards. It's a good setup for the next two films.

Arnold can't act?
May 5, 2012
You must be joking or maybe you just don't know enough about arnold the guy is a natural born actor you simply can not be as succsessful in the movie's as arnold has been and continues to be without the ability to act
how many movies has he made? how many millions have his movies made. he's not anthony hopkins or morgan freeman but he definately can act. and govern the 7th largest economy in the world and if politics doesn't require extreme acting skills then nothing does.
I was really enjoying this Jim Carrey comedy, up until the scene where his police officer character's alter-ego decides to help himself to some breast milk from a lady feeding her baby in the park. This movie's comedic elements are pretty distasteful and lack class.

NOT CLASSY OR TASTFUL BUT INCREDIBLY FUNNY
June 1, 2012
I get that it's not everyones cup of tea with one pinky sticking up but pur comic genius isn't always tasteful or classy sometimes it's shocking and slaps you right in the face this is a ferrelly bro's movie and jim carry is a comic genious like it hate it or whatever the man is creative and a superlative actor not eveyone on the planet understands this but those who do no doubt enjoy the hell out of his movies comedy or drama ...if you require your comedy to be tasteful classy and organized then i suggest you look no further than the proper drama section next time...me i like it all or most of it anyway.
Rarely does a film has such an immediate and emotional impact as John Carter. The story is a 100 year old classic, and bringing it to the big screen by the director of Wall-E and Finding Nemo was a labor of love, and it shows throughout. The film gets better with repeat viewings, which is why you'll love having this in HD and in your library. I can't recommend it highly enough. You will have a blast.

Great movie to have and watch over again so glad i bought it so much work went into it and you can really tell still don't understand why it got any bad reviews it doesn't make any sense.
Okay, Die Hard is one of my all time favorites, so I was stoked to see this release on sale for $9.99 at my store. With that said, I have already exchanged my copy twice, and the bluray will not load in my slim Ps3. As it is a game system, my firmware is at the latest release. I have been on AVS forums and other users have experienced the same problem with their copy's, on different bluray players from LG and even Panasonic. Buyer beware as BB has a strict return policy on copyrighted entertainment. I am sure they will allow an exception if you run into the same issue I am having. I will call 20th Century Fox to consult with a representative regarding the issue.

I THINK IT'S A SONY ISSUE
March 3, 2013
I took my first return in AND they put it in a old samsung blu-ray player and it worked fine but it definately with not work on my sony BDP S590. TOOK IT IN TWICE to exchange and none of them worked for me.
I gave this review 1 star only for the fact that the Dolby True-HD soundtrack is totally whacked! The movie itself is fine (for what I've been able to see it could be a reference disc for video & audio if it didn't have this issue) but this blu-ray is unwatchable due to the bad audio coding. I've been through 2 copies and both are messed up and unplayable on any of my 3 blu-ray players (all with current firmware updates, etc.). There's at least 4 times where the audio drops out and then the video freezes. So far Sony has not said what they plan to do (if anything) to fix the issue and offer customers a swap out for the flawed disc's. The only fix I've read about for Oppo owners (I have a BDP-83) is to switch the HDMI setting from Bitstream to PCM but we shouldn't have to do that in order to watch this film! Sony needs to fix the issue, repress the disc's and offer a swap to those of us that bought it. I'm about to take copy #2 back to Best Buy and see if they will now refund my money now that it's well known that all these disc's are bad!

I doubt best buy will refund your money i had similar issues with DIE HARD ONE on blu-ray taking it back 4 times in total and each time they only let me swap it out and the 4th time they let me swap it for die hard 2 which works fine. so good luck with your refund after it's been opened.
