Pretty much a perfect movie

I liked everything about this movie i think it was very well written and acted perfect cast as well.
reese witherspoon and paul rudd are a perfect fit for these roles.
amost from the very begining you find that you really care about
what happens in each of their lives.

i don't want to give away the plot it is a very well done love/true love story with a huge heart and it's really a movie i think we can all
relate to on some level and i can't recommend this movie enough

I don't give bad reviews but this movie was exceptionally bad
the special effects were ok but that alone didn't make up for
a really bad plot and acting.
i almost walked out while watching all the stupididty unfolding on the screen.
this movie was soo bad that i won't even consider going to see
battle for la because the previews for it look way to much like this
movie.
i would not suggest anyone ever see this movie.
it's poorly written all the charectors are completely under developed
and utterly moronic the acting is whole heartedly under inspired.
the dialog is highly stilted and the pacing is all wrong...
not to mention the fact that this movie has no real ending it just kind of stops dead in it's tracks honestly i left the theater feeling robbed
of both my time and money./.....

I thought long and hard before buying this for my blu-ray collection
and i finally bought it last week and put it together last night

Let my give you the pros and cons of this rack
pro's
1. it looks really good.
2. it's easy to assemble
3. it will actually hold 257 blu-rays which is a big pro in my book!
4. it does not take up much space
5. it's sturdier then i thought it would be withe only alittle side to side sway nothing to be concerned about unless you are using it for dvd's
which weigh more than blu-rays.

whoever designed this didn't put enough thought into it to

100%! as it is they/ blu-ray's stick out just over 1/4 of and inch! fortunately
this slight hang over isn't very noticable even from 6-7 feet away.

i would not recomend this for someone who plans on storing dvd's on it as the weight of the dvd's will reduce it's stability
and DVD'S will hang over the edge twice as much as the blu-rays do.

You know i forgot how great this movie is because it's been so long since i've seen it....now i have it on blu-ray and it is awesome.
i think universal makes the best blu-rays out there and the rock was born to play this role i liked everything about this movie i just wish there were alittle more in the way of extras but thats it.
this is one movie i can watch over and over and not get bored with it it's that good and like the other universal movies i have it looks and sounds perfect.
and no one can beat the title menu on these universal blu-rays they are the coolest so if you like movies that have alot of action adventure and great one liners and are just plan fun then you'll love this movie....like i do..

I have owned 3 of these over the past 6 yr's !
and now i'm looking to get a 4th one for blu-rays....
what does that tell you ? everything thats what !
they are easy to put together
they look good they hold alot and they are sturdy and they last plus you are not going to get
a better price for this quality and size anywhere believe me i looked.....
i can't wait to see how many blu-rays i can pack into it.....

I finally bought this blu-ray a few days ago
i put off buying it for a long time because i didn't have a very good experience seeing it in the theater screaming children people yelling at the screen etc so i really couldn't hear what holmes was saying half the time also the movie looked to dark in the theater...

However this blu-ray is a different story i love everything about it !
the look of the movie the acting even the storyline is quite interesting
and the special features are really good as well.
i'm really glad i bought this and i can't get over how great RDJ
is in this role . so there you have it short and sweet it's definately worth getting on blu-ray.

i can honestly say that there is nothing about it that i don't like.

1. The blu-ray quality is top notch.
2. The storyline is very cool and funny all the way through.
3. The acting is spot on which is usually the case
with these actors.
4. the special features were excellent and more than i expected.
5. i definately feel like i got my moneys worth on this one
and thats a very good feeling to have at the end of the day.

One big problem !

For the first time ever i refused to buy a blu-ray
because of the pakaging the case for this blu-ray dvd combo
is huge at least 18in wide! definately would not fit into my collection.
if you see it you'll know what i'm talking about.

it's very funny and clever with alot of action...

Good low brow comedy

This is a pretty good movie with some funny moments in it
but it is definately over rated and over the top
frankly i was starting to get bored near the end
which is odd because i never get bored still a good movie
just be prepared because i feel it's alittle longer that it should be.

Ok i could talk about how awful the acting is but thats not really fair to the actors i think the problem lies with the script and the poor direction.
because of this the acting feels forced and uncomfotable
i get the feeling that the characters themselves are very VERY well
aware of the camera on them and that they are in a movie thats not paying any real homage to the centries old vampire mythology that has been firmly established this really rubs me the wrong way.

in most scenes and needs a haircut...or the fact that kristen stewart has problems finishing a thought or sentence for that matter....instead they forget all that
and instead concentrate on the drivel that is the contrived infatuations in the film.
i think this movie takes full advantage of the fact that teenage brains in general are not yet full developed enough to understand that their judgements about such things are more hormone based than anything.

I was lucky enough to get 2 free movie screening passes to see this a month before it was released in theaters and the main reason i first wanted to see this was for Jay Chou because i thought he was a good actor in Initial D. This was actually good, it had a lot of action in it mixed with comedy. Definitely something worth checking out. Never seen the old Green Hornet so i dont know how this lives up to it but I believe they did a good job. I might be adding this to my blu ray collection!

I couldn't wait for this movie to come out in the Theater....

I Was first in line to see this one !
When the movie first started I thought I was in the wrong theater and that I had wandered into a horror movie, it looked nothing like the movie trailers I had been seeing on TV ... but after 10-15 minutes we were fighting Humongous Shogun Warriors Matrix style !!! Cinematics were a blast ! The story was suspenseful and Very Visual. It was different rooting for some Chicks instead of Bruce Willis or Some wimpy spider-man dork.

I was jammin during this movie both with the action and the tunes !!!
After it was over, When I was leaving the theater I was saying that I'm going to OWN a 3D TV before that movie comes out for home viewing. ....I worked hard, replaced a lot of equipment, bought new cables, 3D glasses, Blu-ray 3D player, etc and was ALL ready for the release.

I'm soo sorry but i can't bring myself to feel sorry for anyone who can afford a new 3D
TV and blu-ray player etc....besides more than likely there will be a 3D release in the future in the mean time there are alot of other great movies in 3D.

Being a Jurassic Park fan, I rushed out to but the Blu-ray trilogy on its release date. I have never been so disappointed in a digital transfer of a movie in my life. My old DVD's of Jurassic Park have a better picture than the new blu-rays. I am astounded that Universal would do such a poor job on the transfer of the films. I have other movies from Universal that are much older, like "The Blues Brothers" blu-ray (1980), and the picture of that is excellent. Not this! As a consumer, I expect a package labeled as "Perfect picture and sound" to be more than a slogan typed on a package. Whoever did the transfer for these movies didn't clean up the film at all. It looks more like a digital transfer of an old VHS tape that had been played 100 times. I have over 200 Blu-rays and none of them look as poor as this. Now I have to find out how to get my money back.

I have a 37in 120hz 1080P HDTV AND A SONY BDP-N460 BLU-RAY PLAYER
WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE..
these movies look almost as good as avatar on my set up
i have watched them several times now looking for gainyness etc and could not find any such issues i have found that sometimes a disk is not quite right
and i take it back and they will exchange it...other times it is just a matter
of getting the dust off the tv screen which can make any movie look grainy and adjusting it better for that movie.
this set is incredible and i have no regrets with the purchase i would say replace the disk if that doesnt solve it fiddle with the backlight contrast sharpness etc until it looks right to you or get a firmware update for your blu-ray player if you do all that and it's still not right then either you are being too picky or you need a new BETTER TV.

My friend you need to look into updating the firmware on your blu-ray player
take it in to be serviceed or buy another one...because odds are overwhelming
that after buying 3 blu-rays of the same movie
it has to be your equipment
and not the movie that is causing you issue.

I was really enjoying this Jim Carrey comedy, up until the scene where his police officer character's alter-ego decides to help himself to some breast milk from a lady feeding her baby in the park. This movie's comedic elements are pretty distasteful and lack class.

is a comic genious like it hate it or whatever the man is creative and a superlative actor not eveyone on the planet understands this but those who do no doubt enjoy the hell out of his movies comedy or drama ...if you require your comedy to be tasteful classy and organized then i suggest you look no further than the proper drama section next time...me i like it all or most of it anyway.

Rarely does a film has such an immediate and emotional impact as John Carter. The story is a 100 year old classic, and bringing it to the big screen by the director of Wall-E and Finding Nemo was a labor of love, and it shows throughout. The film gets better with repeat viewings, which is why you'll love having this in HD and in your library. I can't recommend it highly enough. You will have a blast.

Okay, Die Hard is one of my all time favorites, so I was stoked to see this release on sale for $9.99 at my store. With that said, I have already exchanged my copy twice, and the bluray will not load in my slim Ps3. As it is a game system, my firmware is at the latest release. I have been on AVS forums and other users have experienced the same problem with their copy's, on different bluray players from LG and even Panasonic. Buyer beware as BB has a strict return policy on copyrighted entertainment. I am sure they will allow an exception if you run into the same issue I am having. I will call 20th Century Fox to consult with a representative regarding the issue.

I THINK IT'S A SONY ISSUE

I took my first return in AND they put it in a old samsung blu-ray player and it worked fine but it definately with not work on my sony BDP S590.
TOOK IT IN TWICE to exchange and none of them worked for me.

I gave this review 1 star only for the fact that the Dolby True-HD soundtrack is totally whacked! The movie itself is fine (for what I've been able to see it could be a reference disc for video & audio if it didn't have this issue) but this blu-ray is unwatchable due to the bad audio coding. I've been through 2 copies and both are messed up and unplayable on any of my 3 blu-ray players (all with current firmware updates, etc.).
There's at least 4 times where the audio drops out and then the video freezes. So far Sony has not said what they plan to do (if anything) to fix the issue and offer customers a swap out for the flawed disc's. The only fix I've read about for Oppo owners (I have a BDP-83) is to switch the HDMI setting from Bitstream to PCM but we shouldn't have to do that in order to watch this film! Sony needs to fix the issue, repress the disc's and offer a swap to those of us that bought it. I'm about to take copy #2 back to Best Buy and see if they will now refund my money now that it's well known that all these disc's are bad!

I doubt best buy will refund your money
i had similar issues with DIE HARD ONE on blu-ray
taking it back 4 times in total and each time they only let me swap
it out and the 4th time they let me swap it for die hard 2 which works fine.
so good luck with your refund after it's been opened.
