Great movie everyone knows that but blu-ray ?

You know i should have listened to the reviews
but i have a brand new sony BDP S590 3D BLU-RAY PLAYER
with the latest firmware and it can not read this blu-ray disk
the disk is undamaged
but still does not work..i'm returning it on monday and if an exchange doesn't fix the issue
i'll ask for a store credit and spend it on a movie that will work...
so it's not just game consoles
blu-ray players can't read it either..
so be warned

i have two dvd recorders and use each one everyday
have tried many brands of disks and i have found these to be the best and memorex to be the worst..

but heres a warning sometimes you can get a defective spindle of these so save your reciept and try not to use more than 10 of the defective disc's before returning them or they might not take then back.
What's great about it: most dependable of all disks
What's not so great: sometimes you get a bad batch
I would recommend this to a friend!

Last week i bought a pair of skullcandy uprocks for $29.99
they looked good and sounded good but were very uncomfotable
and felt like they would break also the ear pads don't articulate much at all...they are super tight and an on ear design wich makes
for sweaty ears plus awesome headaches...so i retuned them and bought these for $24.99..
and find that they are everthing i wanted great sound and comfort
for less than the uprocks and get this yes you can hear everything when you have them on but not pluged in, but when the music is on
all you can hear is the music i tested this out several times already.
these seem as sturdy as other headphones in the price range
and definately stronger than the uprocks i had....
and they don't squeeze my head life it's in a vice

What's not so great: for the price it really is great COULD USE MORE INFO ON IT.

ok i bought this movie because of joss whedon 'as it turns out i am a huge fan of his work..but it's obvious he didn't direct this film
someone named drew goddard did and it shows...
nothing feels right about this movie to me and i don't know what people are thinking when they say there is comedy in it
all this is is a confusing gorefest which i found to be very off putting and the pay off in the end is just depressing and hopeless
i just regret that now that it's been opened i can't return it.

I totally agree this is a great movie soo much potential here

i could list all the great things about this movie
but that would take too long i say it's 98% perfect.
in my opinion they shouldn't have changed the hulk soo much
from the last film and i'm refering to his size it looks like they made him at least a foot shorter and 300lbs lighter..
i'm not saying he wasn't great in the movie because he was.
but i think he should look alittle more like the hulk from the last hulk film.at least from the neck down and they shouldn't make him age at all it's ok to make banner age but not the hulk the hulk isn't really human and he has the ability to heal super fast so of course he wouldn't age along with banner...
still he did a great job in the movie
as did everyone else.my complaint is a very minor one.

Ok when i first saw the previews for this movie it looked like it was
nothing more than action in tranformers style so i took a pass on it at the theater...now i wish i had seen it in the theater.

this movie has so much more to it than just action i was very pleaantly suprised to find out..
you can clearly see the awe and respect director peter berg has for the military throughout the film i throughly enjoyed this movie
so if you havn't seen it because you didn't like the preview
i say see it anyway forget the preview because it's soo much better than that
i think everything is just right in this movie the right amount
of everything...

Well worth the wait and the money

Im not ashamed to admit i am a fan of all things STAR TREK!
i have waited a long long time for this to come to blu-ray
and it does not disapoint...it's as sharp as any other blu-ray
if not sharper and i'm gald i have not experienced any audio
issues i'm sorry some people are hopefully that will be resolved sooner than later...
one thing i am alitte disapointed about is that
it's not in wide screen format and i have to expand the aspect in order to fill my entire screen..
.but that is minor and shoudn't stop anyone for purchasing it....
i'am really looking forward to season 2

I'm not going to waste my time explaining the entire series
but i will say this i have them all so far and it's been great
all the way through so far each season gets better.
every aspect of the show is so well thought out
they really know how to get you involved and how to mount the tension if you have not seen it yet and you like really super intense
and interesting dramas with brillant wrighting and acting.
then look no further there is a very good reason why this show has won so many awards it is astonishingly good.
but i will say this i have them all so far and it's been great

Ok i'll keep this brief i saw this movie in the iIMAX in 3D
TWICE! and it's very rare that i go to the same movie twice

through the power of mass ignorance it got them.
still shaking my head over that one i think maybe some of those critics didn't even watch the movie...this movie has great production
value a fantasic cast with some of my favorie actors in it.
and a timeless inspiring story somewhat similar to avatar
but that is a good thing since that was also a great movie.

I was lucky enough to get 2 free movie screening passes to see this a month before it was released in theaters and the main reason i first wanted to see this was for Jay Chou because i thought he was a good actor in Initial D. This was actually good, it had a lot of action in it mixed with comedy. Definitely something worth checking out. Never seen the old Green Hornet so i dont know how this lives up to it but I believe they did a good job. I might be adding this to my blu ray collection!

When the movie first started I thought I was in the wrong theater and that I had wandered into a horror movie, it looked nothing like the movie trailers I had been seeing on TV ... but after 10-15 minutes we were fighting Humongous Shogun Warriors Matrix style !!! Cinematics were a blast ! The story was suspenseful and Very Visual. It was different rooting for some Chicks instead of Bruce Willis or Some wimpy spider-man dork.

I was jammin during this movie both with the action and the tunes !!!
After it was over, When I was leaving the theater I was saying that I'm going to OWN a 3D TV before that movie comes out for home viewing. ....I worked hard, replaced a lot of equipment, bought new cables, 3D glasses, Blu-ray 3D player, etc and was ALL ready for the release.

I'm soo sorry but i can't bring myself to feel sorry for anyone who can afford a new 3D
TV and blu-ray player etc....besides more than likely there will be a 3D release in the future in the mean time there are alot of other great movies in 3D.

Being a Jurassic Park fan, I rushed out to but the Blu-ray trilogy on its release date. I have never been so disappointed in a digital transfer of a movie in my life. My old DVD's of Jurassic Park have a better picture than the new blu-rays. I am astounded that Universal would do such a poor job on the transfer of the films. I have other movies from Universal that are much older, like "The Blues Brothers" blu-ray (1980), and the picture of that is excellent. Not this! As a consumer, I expect a package labeled as "Perfect picture and sound" to be more than a slogan typed on a package. Whoever did the transfer for these movies didn't clean up the film at all. It looks more like a digital transfer of an old VHS tape that had been played 100 times. I have over 200 Blu-rays and none of them look as poor as this. Now I have to find out how to get my money back.

WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE..
these movies look almost as good as avatar on my set up
i have watched them several times now looking for gainyness etc and could not find any such issues i have found that sometimes a disk is not quite right
and i take it back and they will exchange it...other times it is just a matter
of getting the dust off the tv screen which can make any movie look grainy and adjusting it better for that movie.
this set is incredible and i have no regrets with the purchase i would say replace the disk if that doesnt solve it fiddle with the backlight contrast sharpness etc until it looks right to you or get a firmware update for your blu-ray player if you do all that and it's still not right then either you are being too picky or you need a new BETTER TV.

My friend you need to look into updating the firmware on your blu-ray player
take it in to be serviceed or buy another one...because odds are overwhelming
that after buying 3 blu-rays of the same movie
it has to be your equipment
and not the movie that is causing you issue.

I was really enjoying this Jim Carrey comedy, up until the scene where his police officer character's alter-ego decides to help himself to some breast milk from a lady feeding her baby in the park. This movie's comedic elements are pretty distasteful and lack class.

but pur comic genius isn't always tasteful or classy sometimes it's shocking and
slaps you right in the face this is a ferrelly bro's movie and jim carry
is a comic genious like it hate it or whatever the man is creative and a superlative actor not eveyone on the planet understands this but those who do no doubt enjoy the hell out of his movies comedy or drama ...if you require your comedy to be tasteful classy and organized then i suggest you look no further than the proper drama section next time...me i like it all or most of it anyway.

Rarely does a film has such an immediate and emotional impact as John Carter. The story is a 100 year old classic, and bringing it to the big screen by the director of Wall-E and Finding Nemo was a labor of love, and it shows throughout. The film gets better with repeat viewings, which is why you'll love having this in HD and in your library. I can't recommend it highly enough. You will have a blast.

Okay, Die Hard is one of my all time favorites, so I was stoked to see this release on sale for $9.99 at my store. With that said, I have already exchanged my copy twice, and the bluray will not load in my slim Ps3. As it is a game system, my firmware is at the latest release. I have been on AVS forums and other users have experienced the same problem with their copy's, on different bluray players from LG and even Panasonic. Buyer beware as BB has a strict return policy on copyrighted entertainment. I am sure they will allow an exception if you run into the same issue I am having. I will call 20th Century Fox to consult with a representative regarding the issue.

I THINK IT'S A SONY ISSUE

I took my first return in AND they put it in a old samsung blu-ray player and it worked fine but it definately with not work on my sony BDP S590.
TOOK IT IN TWICE to exchange and none of them worked for me.

I gave this review 1 star only for the fact that the Dolby True-HD soundtrack is totally whacked! The movie itself is fine (for what I've been able to see it could be a reference disc for video & audio if it didn't have this issue) but this blu-ray is unwatchable due to the bad audio coding. I've been through 2 copies and both are messed up and unplayable on any of my 3 blu-ray players (all with current firmware updates, etc.).
There's at least 4 times where the audio drops out and then the video freezes. So far Sony has not said what they plan to do (if anything) to fix the issue and offer customers a swap out for the flawed disc's. The only fix I've read about for Oppo owners (I have a BDP-83) is to switch the HDMI setting from Bitstream to PCM but we shouldn't have to do that in order to watch this film! Sony needs to fix the issue, repress the disc's and offer a swap to those of us that bought it. I'm about to take copy #2 back to Best Buy and see if they will now refund my money now that it's well known that all these disc's are bad!

I doubt best buy will refund your money
i had similar issues with DIE HARD ONE on blu-ray
taking it back 4 times in total and each time they only let me swap
it out and the 4th time they let me swap it for die hard 2 which works fine.
so good luck with your refund after it's been opened.
