Scan documents with this Brother DS-920DW scanner that features 48-bit color depth and up to 600 x 600 dpi optical resolution for image clarity and detail. The USB 2.0 interface and built-in wireless LAN offer simple on-the-go connectivity.
We are a chiropractic office so we need to scan insurance cards, ID's, etc. on patient's. We were in need of another duplexing scanner so when I saw the wireless advertised for this model I thought perfect now we can use it at any of the work stations and immediately the scanned document will be available.
While this is technically true the part that is missing in the advertising and product information, even from Brother, is that the "wireless" scanning has to take place over a wireless connection between your computer and the scanner. It does not connect to your current wireless network. You have to disconnect from your current wireless network and connect to the scanner to use the wireless. Even if you connect to it the interface is clunky and slow.
