We all know Bose for their award winning speaker that you might find in Mom, Dad, or Grandpa's kitchen. The one with the little remote that looks a little aged. Well I can tell you it looks aged because it probably is. And that's a fantastic thing. Looking into a bluetooth speaker I looked at Bose and Dre Beats. The Bose Mini Soundlink II blew Dre out of the water. The sound is so crisp, you can hear and feel every movement of sound. The speaker packs an impressive punch delivering some heavy bass. I use it every single day with everything it can be used for. It's even plugged into my TV used as a mini home theater system. It's synced with my MacBook, my phone, my roommates phone, and is always plugged into something. Yes, it's that good. It's not too heavy, and was designed with good gripping at the bottom. The battery has never died on me and I've taken it with me to friends houses and used it for hours. It syncs fairly easily. Although, I suggest reading the manual before you start syncing everything you can. Another feature on this newer model that the older model did not have is the ability to answer phone calls while your phone is synced to the speaker. The speaker tunes out the music and tells you who's calling. Unless you're a fairly private person, this feature is pretty convenient. I can see myself aging along with my Bose Mini for decades to come. Bose delivers. You simply get what you pay for.

How is the sound quailty outside at a cookout/party
The sound quality is amazing. When I brought this to a friends cookout and started playing music, he looked around trying to figure out where the music was coming from assuming it was some big boombox.
