Excellent product

Bought this for the times I work at home and dont want to sit at a desk. Girlfriend loves it because I dont use couch or bed space with my wireless mouse. Very comfortable. Also takes the heat off of my lap area, although that was never a major issue with my current laptop. Also nice to have my phone handy and quick access to the display for when I get calls.
Excellent construction although I am sure the cost of construction is well below the $50 price point that it sells for.
Hard to find a complaint with this product. I could only mention that I have a 15.6" laptop and there is no extra room so I am not sure where they get the 17" laptop from unless it was a 4:3 ratio screen (i.e. old). Mouse pad is a tad narrow but my mouse sensitivity is pretty high so I can move anywhere on the screen without leaving the surface. May be an issue for others.
I would recommend this to a friend!
