Build a completely stealth, in-wall home theater with the RC80i as left, right or center channels and add a pair or more surround sound speakers or complete a more traditional speaker system with additional multi-zone sound. Built-in audio within reach with easy installation in 3 steps - cut a hole, feed the wires through, and simply drop the speaker in. The rotating cams secure the speakers safely and ensure vibration-free efficiency with no extra assembly or mess. Paintable grilles allow the RC80i to blend in perfectly with the decor, virtually making them disappear. Dynamic Balance drivers and aimable swivel tweeters provide realistic imaging and deliver full, clear sound for movies, music, sports and video games, in any listening position. Timbre-matched with other Polk Audio speakers for seamless blending and exceptional audio clarity when used in a home theater setup.

Great little units

I recently upgraded to these 8" ceiling speakers and am very pleased with the results (I use them as rear surround for my home theater). The sound is great -- I walked into the room to see who was making noise in kitchen. Turns out my son was watching a cooking show and I was hearing these rear ceiling speakers that were between me and the kitchen. The sound quality was that much noticeably better.
I also upgraded to Polk TSi100 front speakers and a Polk CS10 center speaker. This was a great package upgrade for the money.
What's great about it: Great sound for the money
What's not so great: Nothing (if you are prepared to install ceiling speakers)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pricey... but worth the price

I've had this lens now for 6 months (use it with my Nikon D5000) and am extremely satisfied with it. In particular I've used it at my kid's sporting events in addition to college and pro sporting events where everyone comments that they can't believe how good the pictures are.
It captures sharp images from a distance under good lighting conditions (daylight or good stadium lighting). I have many 16" x 20" photo prints framed on my wall in which I zoomed and cropped to get the desired image -- the image quality is great.
As far as use of the lens, the autofocus is quick, sharp, and accurate. The vibration reduction is also a major plus. The lens is relatively large but I've never felt that it was too heavy or unwieldy (I do not use a monopole or tripod when shooting).
If you want serious photos give consideration to investing in this lens. It is pricey but you will be very pleased with the results.
BTW, also be sure to check the camera policy with college and pro stadiums before bringing this with yo. Some have a policy against telephoto lenses.
What's great about it: The professional results
What's not so great: The price - it is an investment
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a Nikon D5000. This lense fits on it? Is it my best choice for a long-range zoom lense for my camera?

I have this same lens with my D5000 and the combination of this lens and camera take great pics -- everyone comments on them. I've attached a couple below for you to see.

I highly recommend this lens for the D5000.
