Kiss fans will remember the MTV debut of this Unplugged. I am a big fan of the unplugged era and miss this venue for electric bands to show other intrepretation of their classic hits. Kiss was no exception to the rule. Their loud rock style with blazing (literally) electrics and pyrotechics translated so well in this sitting. The CD doesn't disappoint in showing the energy of the original broadcast and VHS. Was dismayed the DVD is a rare find, though. Ace's songs were a little weak at first and I seem to remember that he was the least enamored with the format. But the closing Rock and Roll all night is a real highlight of the disc. Also of note the rendition of 'Sure Knows Something' exposes a softer side missing in the rocky "Dynasty" rendition. Weak point..'Do you love me' with its long pauses did not come across well. Love the album and video. Must have for Kiss lovers and will awaken the eyes of Kiss non lovers.
What's great about it: Most songs translate well
What's not so great: Spelled the end of Bruce Kuclick in the Band
This was my first Kiss Concert in the '70's. Alive II captures the spirit and energy of the concert very well. Does a good job of highlighting their classic songs from the era. If your a Kiss fan a must have.
What's great about it: Captures Energy of the First Alive
