I am very surprised by how good this camera is since it costs significantly less than the RX series. The camera feels solid and well made. The view finder is fantastic and I find it very useful. The fold out screen is good for focusing on objects that are close to the ground. The Zeiss lens is sharp and the colors caught by the camera are accurate and rich. I should also mention that I owned an RX100, which I liked very much, but I wanted the zoom on the HX80, and I wanted the view finder. I am very happy with this camera!

whats the difference between this model and the Cyber-Shot HX90V?
The HX90V has a focusing ring and gps. I don't miss either on the HX80,
