Beautiful fridge that also works great

I purchased this as part of an LG suite of kitchen appliances. The Black Stainless finish is as beautiful installed as it was on display in the showroom.
I'd never had a french door fridge before, so it took a little getting used to on how to situate everything inside. After some trial and error, I think there is plenty of space. Shelves are easily adjustable as well and everything is brightly illuminated with LED lighting. Further, I really like the door-in-door feature. I wondered if it was gimicky and if I would really use it but I am honestly using it all the time. Beverages are the logical choice to put within the door-in-door, as are condiments. The small shelves on the door of the left side of the fridge are, however, a bit narrow so as of yet, I haven't had much to place in them.
The middle drawer has several temperature settings depending on what you place in there. Right now I'm using it for drinks, i.e. cans of soda and bottles of wine. There is a lot of space in this drawer, much more than I expected. I placed a 24 pack of soda in there easily, as well as couple bottles of wine and I still have room to spare. There is also a divider to help you separate items. This drawer is also lit with LED lights.
The bottom freezer is huge with two slide our drawers. I would be hard pressed to completely fill it up. As with the rest of the fridge, this space is lit with LEDs.
The icemaker is part of the door on the left side of the fridge. It fits in to a narrow space so if you consume a lot of ice, prepare to make trays manually in the freezer or buy a bag from time to time. I don't use ice too often so it's fine for me. When the fridge is first installed, the owner's manual does indicate that it may take at least 24 hours before the proper temperature is reached and ice starts getting produced. This is totally accurate, so don't freak out if after several hours of the fridge being plugged in, you still don't have ice.
The ice/water dispenser and control panel are on the front of the left door. Everything looks nice but if you're shopping around, here are a couple of features that the LG model lacks. There is no space to rest a glass/cup/dish that you are filling with water. You have to hold it up against the fridge and depress the water dispenser lever. The same holds true for ice, and you have to hold the glass very close to the ice dispenser, or else ice pops out the side and goes all over the kitchen floor.
There is also no auto-fill feature for the water. Several other manufacturers including GE, Whirlpool, and Kitchenaid have a clever feature that allows you to pre-select exactly how much water you want in cups or liters, then place the glass under the dispenser and it will autmatically fill with the exact amount you selected. Not so LG.
The display panel will not tell you the actual temperature of the fridge or freezer, just the temperature that you have set. The dispenser light has two settings, on or off. There is no night light setting.
Aside from those few shortfalls, this is otherwise a great machine. The fridge keeps everything very cold, the middle drawer is a great feature that is unexpectedly spacious, and the freezer drawer is huge and keeps items frozen solid.

When you’re cooking for company, you need a microwave that starts out looking good—and stays looking good. LG’s 2.2 cu. ft. microwave handles that family-sized casserole, and looks good doing it, with sleek, intuitive SmoothTouch controls located on the front of the stylish glass door. Cleanup? It’s a breeze, thanks to EasyClean interior’s stain-resistant technology. And with the enhanced ventilation of ExtendaVent 2.0, you don’t just have a microwave—you have more.

Looks great and works pretty good too

I bought this microwave as part of an LG suite of kitchen appliances. I thought the Black Stainless looked great in the showroom and thankfully it looks really great in my kitchen too. Installation, performed by Best Buy's Geek Squad, was a bit of a bear. This over the range microwave replaced a Whirlpool model and unfortunately none of the drill holes lined up between what the Whirlpool model needed and what the LG model needed. This led to two separate installation appointments and several hours of work. So be prepared if you purchase this to replace a non-LG appliance as it may be a complicated install. With that out of the way, the microwave looks beautiful now that it is installed and works as well as I think any microwave should.
I read reviews that praised how quiet the exhaust fan works, but that's not my experience. I think the fan is a bit on the noisy side (no more or less than most others I've heard) but the claim that it's very quiet isn't accurate.
Heating/reheating functions well and the microwave is fairly quiet when running just as a microwave and not as an exhaust fan. The turntable has a clever feature below it, small wells all around to catch any spills that may arise when something boils over.
There is a wire rack in the middle of the oven cavity, which I probably won't even have much use for but it's easy to pop right out if it's not needed.
The touch controls on the front are intuitive and self explanatory.
Note that this is not a microwave/convection combination. It's just a microwave.

Nice looks but not too much else

I bought this dishwasher only because it matched the rest of the LG suite of kitchen appliances I was purchasing. The reviews I had read on several websites praised the appearance of the dishwasher (agreed, it looks great) but also said the actualy functionality wasn't that great. Also agreed, it does an "okay" job but there are better choices out there.
For the good aspects, it is very quiet and very easy to operate. It even plays a little song when you turn on the machine, and another little song when it is done. This is apparently an LG trademark. It doesn't bother me, it's actually kind of cute.
For the bad, it does not do a great job cleaning dishes. Little bits of food residue are often remaining or are deposited on one dish or glass from another. Glasses are my biggest complaint, the machine simply does not do a very good job cleaning items on the second rack.
Drying ability is only fair. There is no heating element in this machine, it instead relies on the heat generated by the hot water in conjunction with a rinse aid. Plastic items will not get dry at all and you will need to have a dish towel ready to dry for everything else.
A lot of people who have written reviews complain about the racks and how it's difficult to place/stack dishes and glasses without them falling over. I won't fault the machine for this, I think it's just a matter of getting used to how to place the items. Through trial and error, I'm getting used to it.
Lastly, you have to clean the filter. It does not have a disposal/grinder like many other machines so every so often you need to manually remove the filter and rinse it out. For a machine in this price range, that's pretty lousy.
So I'll end this review where I started it. I bought it beause it matched the rest of the LG suite, and I'm largely pleased with the fridge, oven, and microwave. Were it not for that, I'd have gone with Kitchenaid or Bosch.
