James Cox's Wonderland, about the brutal murders that involved the one-time porno king John Holmes, comes to DVD in this two-disc set. The film itself is presented in its original theatrical aspect ratio. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Cox and screenwriter Captain Mauzner. They discuss how closely they worked with the two women in Holmes' life in order to help get this story on the screen in an honest way. They also are full of praise for their cast. A short featurette that originally aired on Court TV is included, as are a handful of deleted scenes and production stills. Arguably the best aspect of this disc is the inclusion of the documentary Wadd: the Life and Times of John C. Holmes, an award-winning documentary that offers insights that are not touched upon in the fictional film. This is a solid release from Lion's Gate with enough extras to make it worthwhile for even those who might have been less than impressed with the film.

I thought it was well played out. It told you two points of view of what happened leading up to that night and afterwards.
