Aaaggh! Nightmare installation service

Wish I had installed myself - unbelievably frustrating. Here's the timeline:
-Bought dishwasher online, includes delivery/takeaway, plus installation. Scheduled for next week
-Delivery day: no show, no notification. Called them--> "Cold weather"
-Next attempt: dishwasher delivered to my living room, old one left in place for installer to remove. No call yet from installer; deliverer says to call Geek Squad because they do the installation. Called installer, informed they would call 1 day before installation to arrange time.
-Attempt #3: Days later, still no call. I called BestBuy, says nothing scheduled. "Rescheduled" for 4-5 days later.
-Attempt #4: 1 day before, installer calls to reschedule, "too busy tomorrow".
-Attempt #5: Nobody showed up. I called installer, didn't remember me, "not on schedule". Rescheduled. Asked installer about removal of old unit; says not his job unless on BestBuy work order. Called BestBuy again, who added removal to the existing work order #should have been on original order all along - my website order clearly stated delivery/removal both included#.
-Attempt #6: No-show #4. Called installer, says the rescheduled appt was canceled when BestBuy changed the work order #BestBuy had said to plan on the same install date#. Nobody had called me to inform me of the "cancellation" or to ask when to reschedule. Called BestBuy to vent frustration; they called installer office to reschedule install next day.
-Attempt #7: Installer finally shows up, looks under sink, says water shutoff valve broken, says to call plumber, leaves 5min later.
-Attempt #8: Called plumber, $90 later valve is repaired. Installer came again, removed old dishwasher but said "work order missing correct date for install," refused to call supervisor to clarify, left house with new dishwasher untouched. Old dishwasher's former site now an empty hole in my kitchen.
-Attempt #9: Called BestBuy for the umpteenth time. They say they will call installer to get it done. After 4 weeks of this, I am losing hope....
In BestBuy's defense, they did offer a $50 gift card and a refund of the install fee for all the hassles; also, my plumbing issue was not predictable or their fault. Their call center people are very friendly but the installation subcontractor has been a disaster. The gift card is small comfort for this continuing nightmare, and 4wks later I still have a box in my living room but neither a working dishwasher nor a confirmed install appt. Aaggghhhh!!!

What's not so great: 4+ weeks, 9 install attempts, still not installed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
