I have gone through so many coffee pots breaking and being defective I decided to make the change. We luv, luv, luv this percolator. My husband was concerned that it just wouldn't be able to work like his mother's old perculator. No problem.
The only thing that took me a bit to figure out is that you have to start with COLD water. It stopped percing when the coffee meets a certain temperature. It just doesn't bre the same with warmer water.
What's great about it: Easy, looks great on my counter, portable
What's not so great: you can't control the perc time
I would recommend this to a friend!
