Good, but not quite great

Hi, I purchased this for my wife for Christmas since she loves to draw. The screen is absolutely beautiful and the ability to adjust the angle of the screen is great. The camera can automatically log you in based on facial recognition. I purchased the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products so my wife has more powerful tools.

But for $3500, there are some areas for improvement, so I would recommend waiting until the second version of the studio is released in a year:
- no backlit keyboard
- surface dial has very few uses and does not stick to the screen (slides down the screen even on more level angles)
- drawing software that comes with it is disappointing and has way too many ads
- only a hybrid drive and not a full SSD drive (my surface pro 3 that is 2.5 years old seems faster)
- light touches with the pen often do not register
