This toaster features dual independent controls so you can toast 4 slices of bread or 4 waffles at the same time. The bagel mode lets you toast bagels golden brown on the cut side and warm on the outside, and the 6 electronic browning control settings let you choose from light to dark by turning the knob.

HORRIBLE Toaster
on February 27, 2014

I've now tried two of these toasters and both were bad. The first toaster, the two left slots would only toast on one side of the bread even if the "bagel" function was on OR off. I returned it and ordered another one. This one will toast on all sides regardless if the "bagel" function is on OR off. So basically, the first one acted like the "bagel" function was stuck on and the second one acted like the bagel function is always off. After two units, I'm done. I'm buying a Cuisinart instead which worked for me in the past.

Poor Design & Not Very Energy Efficient

Honeywell designed this to be energy efficient and it wasn't. With this unit, you're allowed to either have it run constantly on Low, Medium or High until you turn it off or set it to a temp. you like and it will shut off/on automatically according to the temp. This is where the extra "energy savings" was supposed to come in. This unit will go from High to Medium to Low as it approached the temp. you set. For example, its set for 70. If the current temp. is 65, the unit will run on High until 68 then go down to Medium and 69/70 it will go down to low and then its supposed to shut off. High =1500, Medium=1250 and Low=1000 in terms of energy used. What Honeywell seems to not realize that in lowering the output of the heater as it got close to set temperature, its not putting out as much heat and thus can't reach the desired temperature. So, in my case, it hit 68 and went down to medium and sat at that temperature and at times got up to 69 but, could not go any higher because it would not stay on high. It does to save energy but, if its constantly running at 1250 or even 1000 you negate any potential energy savings by dialing down the heat. It makes no sense at all. You end up using A LOT more energy in the long run. Do NOT buy this unit. You'll be stuck with a heater that you can't set it and forget it.
