Carry your DSLR camera in this Lowepro Trax 170 LP36596 camera bag, which offers plenty of space for accessories and features polyester material for reliable protection while you're on the go. The lightweight design ensures comfort during use.
This bag came with the Canon T3i we bought at Christmas. It is actually a better bag than I expected, but it is bare bones. It is roomy and holds the camera w/ lens, with enough room on either side for an extra lens. There are no accessory pockets inside, and only a slash pocket on the outside (would prefer a zippered compartment). You really need the extra pockets because you start accumulating accessories quickly with a DSLR (remote shutter release, lens cleaning brush, filters).
What's great about it: It was free; works well enough

This is our 2nd T3i having bought one for our daughter earlier this year. This is my first DSLR and I researched them thoroughly before buying. I have had a number of pocket cameras over the years (Koday, Nikon, & Canon) and settled on Canon years ago as having the best features and taking the best photos.
This camera does not disappoint. I considered the T3 but for around $50 more you get more pixels, better HD, and the flip-out screen. This was important to me because it lets me set the camera on a tri-pod and use a wireless remote shutter release to take family photos; before I'd just have to run and get in the picture and hope I was positioned properly. Now we can SEE what the photo will look like. I also like to take low-angle shots and the screen makes this much easier. Also handy when shooting video over people's heads like ballgames and parades.
This is a solid camera. I have not seen any problems yet. As a full-featured, entry level DSLR you won't go wrong with this one.

Bought this with a Canon T3i instead of the 75-300 that is usually sold in the 'kit'. His is an upgrade from the 55-250 IS II and I am totally happy with it. Fast lens, takes great photos in low light. Also, the front of the lens does not rotate, so it works well with circular polarizing filters which you need for outdoor shooting in bright sunlight. Another great feature is to manually focus (micro focus), even if the Autofocus setting is set on the lens, you just grab the focus ring and focus - the focus ring is not "locked" in Autofocus mode.
Great lens. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Fast focus, quiet, fast lens (great in low light)
