It really does work!

I cancelled my home phone because it made my cable and internet package quite a bit more expensive. I figured I'd buy this and try it, but was very skeptical. It really does work!! It is extremely easy (for anyone) to hook up. You literally just plug it into your modem, then plug your phone into it. It does need a power plug outlet. Registering only took a couple of minutes and I was given a new phone number. There is no difference in sound quality with this service and regular phone service. Excellent. If the price stays low each year and does not increase like cable does every year, I will definitely keep it!

Not tracking enough for me

I already have the garmin vivofit, but wanted something inexpensive to wear hidden rather than having to wear on my wrist. I also liked that this item automatically syncs rather than having to press the button to do so. However, I wore both the up move and my vivofit to work today and am not happy with the results. I'm a teacher and am on my feet for the entire day, rarely sitting down at all over the course of 8 hours. I always or almost always meet by 10,000 step goal by night time. My garmin registered around 7,500 steps, but the up move only registered 3,000!!!!! I understand that the bracelet type trackers may track more than a clip tracker, but that is less than half of the steps that i took! I even put both trackers in my pocket and tried that for about 10 minutes to see what would happen and the jawbone still tracked 75 less steps than the garmin over a short period!
Also, in the one day that I've had it I have trouble connecting on and off to the app. It was easily fixed each time, but it happened probably half the times I opened the app. For these reasons I am returning it and staying with the garmin. They just came out with a clip that is available on some sites, so I will order that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great case at a great price

I've always used the defender for my iPhones and they have kept them protected. None of my iPhones have ever broken or gotten scratched in these cases. I've tried Speck and Lifeproof, but they don't come close to the protection that the defender offers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have always used Otterbox Defender and it has always protected my iPhones. But, I was ready for a different look and a slimmer design so I bought this case. I was shocked at how cheap and thin it is. It literally looks like a $2 piece of plastic. The on I received was even slightly bent. It's nothing more than a piece of plastic on each side. There is no shock absorbing material anywhere except the very outer edges of the front of the case. Nowhere else. I can't believe that the cost of this case is so much higher than the Otterbox, yet so much more cheaply made. Definitely returning it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only good thing is that it auto syncs

I bought this because it had good reviews, other than the many reviews that said it died within a few months. I ended up returning it a day later. Here's why. The only good thing about it, in my opinion, is that it auto syncs all by itself. The bad things are that it is very inaccurate. It adds tons of steps when doing a stationery activity. It is made very cheaply and seems like it will break at any moment. You have to look at the app or a computer to check your progress. And last, you have to charge it all the time (I had my brand new flex plugged in for many hours and it never reached all 5 lights). I returned it for the vivofit 2 that corrects every one of these issues, except it doesn't auto sync.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Way overpriced for quality

I bought this and kept it for 1 day. I didn't like the way it is made and I felt it was made very cheaply. The piece that goes into the band (that gets charged) was so light that I dropped it every time I took it out. It is very lightweight (not in a good way), thin plastic. It feels like a $5 product that would end up breaking in a short amount of time. I also don't like how the band only snaps closed as I feel that I could lose it easily. One good thing about this product is the app. I do like how it syncs automatically. But, I don't like how you have to look at your phone to check the amount of steps you've walked.
Also, I'm sure all pedometers are not completely accurate, but with the flex I woke up and went to my kitchen and it said I already walked something like 300 steps! Then as I poured my coffee I was credited with additional steps even though I was standing still.
I ended up returning for the Garmin vivofit 2 which does not auto sync, but it does have a screen that you can check without needing your phone. The devise itself is also much more sturdy and seems more durable. Plus it has a locking, rotating clasp so that it won't fall off and it does not need to be charged. Once the battery dies in the garmin, you just replace the cheap batteries whereas with the flex, you will be throwing it away and buying a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features, but DOES NOT AUTO SYNC

I bought this over the original because it claims to auto sync, only to find out after buying it that it only auto syncs under 2 circumstances: if you reach 2,000 steps in under 60 minutes; or if you log in to the website and create an activity, then push a bunch of buttons on the device and complete the activity (obviously that is not AUTO). I contacted Garmin twice and spoke to two different people who confirmed this.
So, I will probably return it and buy the cheaper original vivofit since the only thing that the new 2 model has is the backlight screen and the new clasp (oh, and the timer and beeping noises which I could not care less about).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent stain removal

I bought this to use with the hoover cleaner and it works very well. It removed all of my (old) pet stains that I couldn't remove with spot cleaners. It was like watching an eraser erase the spot as I moved the machine over the spots with this solution.

I was a little concerned about this model because on some other sites it has mixed reviews due to suction. But, I bought it and am very happy with it. I've used it twice now with the hoover professional stain remover and it has removed ALL stains, including pet stains from my carpet! My 9 year old carpet looks nice and clean. Also, it has good suction and in fact my carpets were mostly dry by night time which is faster than when I had my carpet professionally cleaned. Very light and easy to push around.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I tried several different cases before going back to Otterbox. None of the others protected like this case does. The defender cases are now made with a different material than they used to be (they used to have a squishy, rubbery outer case, but now it is a harder, smooth case). But, it still offered the best protection. I like to have the screen covered to protect it from chips and cracking, so this fits the bill. The only down side is that it does not come in any designs, pictures or patterns other than the camp and the two geometric styles. If Otterbox made their cases with more design options (and bling like some people like), I bet they'd skyrocket. I first bought it in the purple/playdo color and loved the colors, but didn't like it once it was on the phone because the white of my phone showed on the top and bottom and I didn't like the fact that it was then purple, orangey and white- I felt it made it look cheap. But, in the gray and white it is nice because then you don't notice the part of the phone that is exposed and it blends in.
Also, I was a little confused by the "Hybrid" in the description. This case is no different than the regular otter box defender for 5s, so I don't know where that name came from. It is different from the regular 5 case, though, because it does not cover the fingerprint sensor. I'm assuming that's why they call it hybrid.
What's great about it: Great protection, covers whole phone, decent looking
What's not so great: Plain color choices; not available with cute styles
I would recommend this to a friend!
