Decent little laptop - good for home or student

Good laptop for school students or moderate home use. For the price paid, it is an excellent value. So far, I find it completely acceptable for working with word docs, excel and powerpoints, watching standard def videos, music, browsing (just nothing extremely media intensive). The 6th Gen CPU i3-6100u is a big improvement over the 5th Gen. 8GB memory. Good enough for daily household use, which is exactly why we bought it.

Get help from your smartphone on the road, without taking your hands off the wheel. Powerful 4 x 55 W amplification makes music sound clear and dynamic, even at high volumes.Geek Squad® installation is strongly recommended for this product. Please visit your local Best Buy store for details.

Probably a good unit, but missing key features

This unit is missing all the key features that I asked for (and that the BB salesman said it had) when I pre-ordered it. Note that the unit actually does not have a CD/DVD player, does not support HD radio, does not support XM radio, does not have wifi (bluetooth only). So, for me, it would only be an extraordinarily expensive analog AM/FM tuner.

A premium priced screen protector that does not hold up nearly as well as it should. Application was straightforward enough. However, the screen protector is just not durable. After less than a week of usage, the screen protector was scratched and marred badly. Even a fingernail will leave a permanent crease or a scratch in the film. Incredibly disappointing.

Decided to keep XAV unit - updated review
January 13, 2017
Update and clarifications. Yes, the salesman did not get the spec right, but after some more research I decided to take the plunge and keep the unit. I really like the user interface - a very nice job on this compared to other car radio touchscreen interfaces. Recommendation for a future update would be to clean up the radio tuner screen a bit (preset buttons are small and the RDS text is pretty unusable (minimal display area, not really readable). The touch screen itself is excellent - very responsive (even with winter gloves on LOL). The audio features are very nice, I like the audio effects. One major problem is that the device does not keep time well. It seems to want to draw time date from the mobile device, and gets lost without one. So the XAV may be a bit too dependent on the outside cell phone. So the clock also needs a firmware update (we looked already at whether it was power, and no).. Backup cam video is good. Another USB or an SD card slot would be a useful idea for a future version of this product.
