Great so far!

Got an amazing deal on the 50" version. I've tried so many Roku TV sets recently (from TCL, Insignia, and Hisense-Sharp) but I think I am finally satisfied with this one, the Sharp set made by Best Buy. No dead pixels, very minimal dirty backlight and dark corner, and great contrast/black levels. It's much better than the 2016 Insignia 1080p set i tried (had whacky gamma and horrible line bleed/dirty screen). Motion looks pretty good too playing PS4/Battlefield 4. Anyway, happy customer here from initial impressions from someone whose had nearly one of every Roku TV set (save for Haier). I used to think TCL was top of the Roku TV sets, but Best Buy's 2016 Sharp set is quite impressive for a whole lot less $. Highly recommended when on sale.
My Best Buy number: 0587577438
I would recommend this to a friend!

Corn Pub tutorial

It's one of the illustrious Roku "private" channels. Since I'm not allowed to link directly, I can tell you to just Google search for "Corn" Hub Roku Channel. Click the first link, from the official site. Below the image of the helpful woman on the TV screen, there should be an orange button you can click to start adding the channel. Hope this helps!

Take home viewing to the next level with this 65-inch Hisense television set. It provides 4K resolution for multiple entertainment options, including streaming, and its edge-lit local dimming ensures an improved contrast ratio. This Hisense television set also has color reproduction approaching the quality seen in movie theaters.

Amazing Value, don't let the name hold you back.

I was extremely skeptical when I looked into this TV. All the 4 and 5 Star reviews brought me in. I had this TV delivered this past weekend and I am blown away. You will need to do some very minor calibration to adjust the picture to your room, but with a few tweaks it is so worth it.
Pros
- 4K content looks amazing, as good or better than my previous LG 4K.
-Xbox One S and HDR games look extremely crisp with next to zero lag.
- Easy setup, decent amount of SMART applications. This isn't a huge factor to me with Xbox and Apple TV having everything I need.
- HDR for sub $1000, can't get another TV this big with HDR for the same price.
- Speakers sound great on the TV. I will be hooking up my surround sound in the next few weeks for added depth.
Cons
- Cable Box content could be a little crisper, but after picture setting calibration it looks much better than stock out of the box.
Overall I am extremely happy with this TV. I was very skeptical about buying something other than Samsung, LG, or even Sony. After having this for a few days I am recommending Hisense to anyone who listens!

Very Good Entry 4K HDR TV ... Awesome Value!
By Jacob
Purchased Saturday; 65" 4K with HDR10 support ... I adjusted the picture to my preference using the settings for the 50" H8C from a ratings website as a starting point and after a couple of days experience with the TV I'm very happy and satisfied with my purchase.
It was $100 off just a couple of days ago, so at under $850 with taxes it definitely made it even more of a value. Hisense/Opera App Store is still missing Hulu, but I'm using an Apple TV and Fire TV. Netflix and Amazon 4K content looks Good.
480, 720, and 1080 upscaling is really good IMO; the Super Bowl looked good and OTA local channels look great. No noticeable trailing or ghosting or pixelation at all during the game. I'm sitting about 8' from the screen.
Overall it has satisfied my appetite for a 4K with HDR. Nearest 65" with HDR is hundreds more. Keep in mind this is not a premium TV like Vizio P Series or Samsung KS8000 or KS9000.
However, if you are looking for an entry to mid level tv, no matter the brand this could very well fit the bill and may prove to be the best value of all the entry options from all brands given the HDR capabilities.
It offers just enough features and picture adjustments. Also the built in speakers provide very good sound, but I am using a sound bar anyways. The DBX-TV audio features are nice as well.
Overall I give it a five because it's very good with great value due to the HDR, CEC functions, remote quick app and live tv access buttons, the price, and free 4 year warranty with in home service makes it a winner! Only time will tell on how well it holds up, but hopefull I won't need to test the warranty or in-home service.

Great review! I also have this set and was curious as to what picture settings you ultimately ended up with it on it? If you don't mind sharing. Thanks!

How much glare / reflection? Is it semi-gloss or gloss?

Semi-gloss. Not too much glare, very moderate and in line with other TVs in this price range.

What is Roku tv

Roku (the streaming channel provider) is the OS of the TV. Kind of makes it the ultimate Smart TV (besides the newer Android TVs, I hear those are good too).
