The agressive, pounding guitarwork that made Deciever so amazing is almost non-existant on the new album. The guitar sound levels are so low that it just fades into the background beneath the overdone synth lines and Backstreet Boy vocals on every song. I never thought "metalcore" could be so BORING!!! The album sounds like one long song of whiny, lispy chorus lines with Katy Perry synth with a very few 2 second break-downs in between. If you want to buy a Word Alive album, get Deciever - It is AMAZING!
What's great about it: Fractions of songs that have decent riffs.
What's not so great: The chorus of every song makes them all sound the same... weak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
