The eero Pro WiFi System (3-pack) comes with three eeros and is made for homes with 3-5+ bedrooms. Each eero is tri-band and uses TrueMesh technology to enable great WiFi performance and reliability no matter how many devices you use in your home. With two built-in Ethernet ports per eero, eero Pro WiFi Systems are customizable and flexible. Use them wirelessly or plug them directly into computers, gaming devices, and entertainment systems for even better performance. And with eero's app, you can set up your system in under 10 minutes, share your network with guests, and manage family screen time from anywhere.

Big improvement over the first gen
on July 13, 2017

Since eero came out I loved the product, but hated that I had to have a router sitting on the floor in my hallway in order to get coverage in the back half of the house. I've been running gen 2 now for a few weeks and its literally better in every way. I've got 6 units (3 beacons, 3 eeros) in my house with my pro pack serving as the main and central units and my beacons downstairs and around the edges. Centrally I never had a problem with speed but now I've got coverage even in my backyard and garage!

Connect to the Internet wirelessly with this eero wall-to-wall Wi-Fi system. A simple app guides you through the setup process and enables automatic connectivity between devices, and you can access the app from your phone to manage devices and configure settings. Utilize WPA2 encryption on this eero wall-to-wall Wi-Fi system to safeguard data over your network.

Solid product, getting even better over time

Well worth the cost. I love how cool eero looks, I love how easy it is to set up, I love that I can manage it easily from my phone, I love how much it has improved since launch and most of all I love how fast my wifi is.
I've used a range of different solutions trying to get full coverage in my apartment and until now I've never been able to get decent speeds at the far end. I can even connect in the backyard!

Will I still need a modem for this?

Yes, this product is a router so you still need a modem. Sometimes people have combination modem/routers and in that case these replace and improve the functionality built into the modem.
