Oddball Werewolf Movie
on June 2, 2017

So bad it's kinda fun to watch type movie!
Alice Cooper stars as Vincent Raven, a rock star that goes back to his home town to film his latest music video. While in the midst of all this, he and the crew face attacks by wild dogs/wolves and the townspeople who believe Vincent is connected to them.
The movie is strange, indeed. The movie, though, does keep a dark atmosphere going that can keep you intrigued enough to continue watching. The story gets a bit incoherent at times, so keep in mind if you're not following it. The special effects aren't very good, either. Also, note, this is a Spanish produced / Italian horror movie, therefore, all audio is dubbed (notice it's not even Alice Cooper's voice in the dialog).
It's a strange werewolf film, but it's a great bad type movie to watch if you don't take it too seriously.

"You've Made Your Last Horror Film!"
on September 22, 2016

If you're into cult horror films, give this one a try!
An early Troma movie about an obsessed wannabe filmmaker, Vinny, who follows horror actress Jana Bates all the way to the Cannes Film Festival to try to get her to star in his movie. All while this is happening, people from Jana's crew start disappearing and turning up dead! Is Vinny to blame? Is it all for the sake of art?
The movie is an 80s slasher, but an interesting one; it it has its moments that makes it fun to watch. The movie gets you into the deranged Vinny's head, taking things a step further than your typical horror movie. Also, if you're into the film industry, you'll love the old school reel shots and the film festival environment. On the plus, if you liked Joe Spinell and Caroline Munro in "Maniac", then definitely give "The Last Horror Film" a watch!
The blu ray doesn't have much special features directly towards the film other than a funny intro by Lloyd Kaufman and the trailer, so don't expect much from that. Just has some Troma related features. The picture itself shows some scratches and stuff occasionally, but hey, it's a low budget horror film, so I don't mind at all.
Overall, it's a decent, underrated horror film. Give it a watch if you dig slashers and want to go beyond the usual slasher scope.
