So far. so amazing!

I returned an i3 laptop with 1T space for this one for 2 main reasons. the silver brushed metal was a pain because it was hard to read the keyboard since it was not black and white. Also, this one feels twice as fast with the i7 processor. The black does show fingerprints. but that's a small quibble compared to the speed and quality monitor. So far I am really enjoying this laptop. Easy to type on and I LOVE the added Sub woofer that you can plug in the side to get richer sounds. I can tell this would be a great laptop for movies with cool sound effects.

Not a FAN of this pair...

I found the sound to be not so good at all. I was also surprised that even on HIGH.... they were not loud enough. I could hear way too much outside sound. Too many useless fussy features can ruin a good pair of earbubs.
Spend your design time on sound quality. Not the extra mechanics. Get some volume under your belt while you're at it. I found a pair for half the price that sound 100 times better and cause no ear fatigue. I do NOT recommend.

The very B E S T... and I've tried most of them!

I've been so ready to ditch the cord forever. I'm not a fan of having even the bluetooth cord behind the neck. FINALLY... I found my earbuds. The best part is they actually sound GREAT!. I'm a huge fan of clean Bass and crisp Treble. There's a lot of detail in songs that come to life with these little ear buds.
To my surprise, these were super easy to use. They came with a bag of other earpiece sizes, but the ones that are on the device fit me perfect. No need to try the others. To say they are comfortable, is an understatement! Most other in earbuds are heavier and want to fall out, which requires a rubber ear assist to hold them to your ear. These are lightweight and don't cause any ear fatigue.. At ALL! That's a giant plus for me. Did I mention they sound amazing?!
Pairing them to my phone was super easy. I like that they have a super snug fit, so I can't hear anything going on around me. Very sound cancelling. I have no problem with them only being good for 3 hours between recharges. Doubt I'll ever have them in for a full 3 hours at a time. The storage case always recharges them also wirelessly after each use. The case will recharge them 15 times before I even recharge the case.
I was super lucky at Best Buy to find them 30. off today, on sale. I used the 30. and got a 2 yr. extended warranty. So now, they are covered for 3 yrs total. That's money well spent. Plus, if you ask me, they're the BEST Looking earbuds on the market. I'd like to hear the Apple Airpods when they come out, but I honestly am not a fan of their look. A bit too pretentious in design. These are more understated, and classy looking in my humble opinion. LOVE THESE!!! I've been searching for years and years. The wait was well worth it. Best of the best!

I just bought a 4K laptop and needed an external Blue Ray player to make the most of 4K content. I purchased the movie Captain Phillips for my virgin flight into 4K color, sound and clarity. Thank you LG for making an easy to use, plug and play devise. Just insert the included CD software and you are up and running in no time. After watching my movie, I tried to see if it would burn a CD of music from a playlist on iTunes. Easy Peazy! Once I inserted the blank CD, it even asked if I would like to Burn a CD. Very intuitive and quick. Could't really ask for anything more. It's slim and light. Black Graphite like my new laptop.
Good stuff!

I have to admit, I'm blown away by the udder speed of this 512 SDD! Super fast start ups and very quick shut downs. The lit keyboard is really nice to type on. Keys feel very easy on your digits! All applications open quickly with ease. I like that it's a fully functional monitor that can be folded into many viewing angles.
Amazing sharp contrasting images. Excellent color tone. The glossy monitor is actually easy on the eyes. Does not show as much glare as other glossy monitors. Really nice speakers for a laptop. You could easily watch a movie or listen to music without feeling cheated.
Great track pad. Nice locations for the USB ports. Love it in tablet mode!
Convenient volume up and down buttons on the side like an iPad. Awesome touch screen. So much to love about this computer. Very quiet since you don't have to listen to a fan all the time cooling an HHD.
SSD is all about the speed and safety of your Hard drive if you were to ever drop it. Plus, it's a sharp looking chassis. Couldn't be happier with my purchase... worth every penny. I really shopped around and kept coming back to this model.

Good and I know how to make them BETTER!

I like this pair for many reasons. That said, there is an easy fix for those who want to make them louder!!! I have some Earhoox that I bought for my iPhone earphones. By luck, they fit these Earpods perfectly. They were invented to keep your earphones from slipping out. What I found is they actually bring the earphones deeper into your ear and thus making the volume much better!!! The website I used to find these is http://earhoox.com/?utm_source=affiliate&utm_medium=sas
I would HIGHLY recommend looking into it, since I was almost ready to return this pair due to needing more volume.
Another thing to consider, is your music source. If you are relying on iTunes, the volume output is weak. If you are streaming your music on Spotify, you'll have a Louder output and better BASS and clarity overall.
Plus on Spotify, you can easily tweak the built in Equalizer to get all the Bass or Treble (and everything in between) you like.
*With the Earhoox installed, it's just enough volume to keep me happy. Without.. well... not so much.
I like that they are light and flexible. Quick charge. Was worried about the look at first, since I prefer and all Black (less is more) look, but I have to say, the Black and Blue look really good on.

Decent at best but not worth over 100 dollars
By segasaturnsnk
If it wasn’t for the great blue tooth connectivity with my iPod Nano (newest generation), I would have returned this and gave this lower stars. My main issue with this device is that there is no noise cancelling so let’s say if you’re at the gym, hate the music they play, there is a possibility you might still hear the music of the gym unless you have the volume high (not really a huge difference to be quite honest with you). Also, it doesn’t fully plug inside your ears, you’ll have space. What really is disappointing is that it doesn’t have extra set of ear buds or at least different size ear buds to replace the ones it brings. If it would have at least thrown in some extra ear buds plus different sizes, I think this wouldn’t have been an issue.
One thing though, it works perfectly great especially listening to metal music like Opeth, Lamb of God, Megadeth, Testament, and so on, the sound is clear and it sounds great. I’ve jogged with these a bunch of times, outdoor jogging that is, and it doesn’t distract the sound or anything. Never got disconnected which is great. One thing that’s disappointing is that sadly, sweat can still get in your ears mainly because like I said, there aren’t any options for different sizes of ear buds. One issue that I’m having now is that when the first song is played, it has this static sound or it sounds really glitchy. Once I skip the first song, it sounds and plays fine.
For 100 dollars or more, it isn’t worth it. If it had better ear buds, different size ear buds, and solid enough to at least close up the ear canal a bit, I think this would have been perfect. I would say pay and spend extra for the BEATS or any other workout headphones. I have not used this for phone calls, mainly for workouts and jogs. If you can grab these for 60 bucks or less, it’ll probably be worth it but other than that, besides the great sound quality and great blue tooth connectivity, 100 dollars is too steep.

There ARE extra Ear buds in the armband...
July 9, 2015
If you will look closely in the bottom of the armband, you will find the small bag with that has a smaller version of the earbuds. I have larger eardrums and normally like the largest size. On this pair, they come with the largest ones installed out of the box by default.
I found that the smaller pair went further in my ear, making them sound louder. I prefer a more "in the ear" FULL sound. Not sure yet if I AM keeping these or returning them. My iPhone earphones are louder and more Bass and FREE. Just hate the wire!

Update!
November 26, 2015
So, I finally got around to buying an external Blue Ray player from Best Buy. They carry an LG model in the store. $79 for a gold one and $89 for the black graphite model that looks like the laptop! Set up took was pretty easy. Just follow all the prompts on the screen and you're up and running. While in the store I bought a Blue Ray disc (Captain Phillips) that was remastered in 4K. I've been waiting to see what all this laptop can do and I must say, it did not disappoint! The movie was beyond Sharp, i.e. you could see Tom Hanks pores on his face where it's not sharp on my Sony XBR Bravia top of the line flatscreen TV (pre- 4K TVs)
The speakers on this Laptop were a true Rock Star!!! Lots of sound effects that traveled left to right and gave an almost surround sound.
Later I tried burning my first ever CD from iTunes with the new writer and it was easy as pie. Once I put the blank CD in, it asked me if I wanted to burn a CD and we were off and running. I tested the CD in the car and it tagged all the songs and was crystal clear. I notice that my mouse works better on this laptop than my last laptop.
Again, I keep shopping all the 4K laptops out there ( I have till early January to return this one) and still can't find one that can all that this one does.

Great replacement for my home computer
By Anormalguy
Did a lot of research before-hand as I was looking for a tablet/2n1 to replace my office tower unit that had a hard-drive that was starting to concern me. My key demands were (1) fast processor, (2), great display detail, (3) quick start-up(4) SS hard drive,(5) portability, and back lite keyboard. This Toshiba meets all those needs and much more. The startup speed is amazing as is the large screen and display detail when streaming videos, etc. I find it great to use in the tablet mode when watching TV or movies, but it's great to use anywhere in my house to replace my old tower. I'd definitely buy this again.

Great 2-N-1, only 1 minor short-coming
By Hawk1775
I've had several different Toshiba laptops over the years and finally decided to upgrade my latest; with a generation one "Core I7" processor. After looking at several others, including two of the big name brands, I decided to stay with Toshiba. With all the new hype over the 2-n-1's, after doing the research, with the features / over-all size / Solid State Hard-Drive. Two weeks after receiving and starting to use my 2-N-1, I learned how critical the Solid State Hard-Drive was; wife was passing it to me and it slid across the car seat and bounced onto the floor. No Damage and everything was working just as new.
The only draw-back is when you flip the screen into "tablet" mode there's no keyboard, not even on the screen. So if you want to make any notes, you're forced to flip back to laptop mode.

Tablet Mode
January 8, 2016
I have to agree with you.. for tablet mode, there is a flaw that I didn't notice before... I can see here in normal mode, you can use and on screen keyboard.. but the one and only time I'd actually need it is in tablet mode. I'm come to realize that this laptop is best in normal mode or perhaps viewing a movie in presentation mode with the keyboard behind it. As for Tablet, I'm better off with my iPad as it weights very little compared to this monster in tablet mode. Nice idea, but without a keyboard.. it's poor execution.... Now I'm perplexed as to why Toshiba didn't work that out before selling it. Very odd indeed!

Horrible sound quality
By Howie
The reason I give one star to this earbuds mainly because of the horrible sound quality. I know I should not expect the outstanding sound quality from a wireless earbuds, but at least they need to perform the normal sound. This earbuds is wearing comfortable but give raucous and ridiculous poor sound quality which like they are poorly connected. I can't distinguish the rhythm and lyrics.

I've been listening to these over a week now. I've listened to all types of music, and truly.. they all sound awesome. I'm not sure if I TRUST all these bad complaints on the sound quality. I'm a bit of a sound snob, and I thing these sound Freaking GREAT! If you take the time to read ALL the reviews, you'll actually learn a few tricks to making these sound the BEST they can.
#1. Take off the supplied ear gel and replace it with the SMALLEST ear gel. This allows it to travel further into your ear. It also makes them more sound proof from outside competing sounds. I find the Bass and Treble nicely balanced. If you figure how to wear them right, you'll quickly learn they're the best on the market for the price!

Returned after a week
By BestBuyAddict
I originally posted a five star review when I first got my Sol Republic earbuds. I found the sound and bass response to be simply unmatched by other wireless earbuds. Then, after a few days of wearing them I noticed pain in my ears from trying to press them back in to keep them from falling out. Unfortunately, these are not ideal for workouts, as the eartips do not include earwings or hooks. If you plan to remain stationary at a desk, then these will probably work.

Did you try the SMALLEST gel ear cup? It actually travels further into your ear and I play heck trying to shake them off my head. I read it in one other reviews somewhere, and was surprised to find this was the fix I needed to make them not only stay in, but sound AMAZING!

Everything (but the hard drive) is Amazing!!
By MicNet
I purchased my laptop in August 2016. I bought it based on the specs even though the hard drive is only a sluggish 5400rpm. It's been a love / hate relationship until a week ago when I installed a Crucial M.2 SSD drive and replaced the horrible hard drive with a Samsung SSD drive. Now I absolutely LOVE my Asus. Why in the heck the manufacturer would stick the worst possible hard drive in an otherwise flawless machine is beyond me. Before SSD, I would wait for two minutes while the disk use was at 100% as the system would boot up, run everything in task scheduler, run the boot sector virus scan and load drivers. Once this was complete, I could start using the laptop. It was frustrating enough that I regretted ever buying the laptop.
After enough agony, I finally decided to do what I should have done from the very beginning. After doing some research, I settled on the M.2 SSD drive from Crucial and the Samsung SSD for the main replacement. Using a T4 bit, I removed the screws from the bottom cover and gained access to the internals. I installed the M.2 SSD and went through the steps to format the drive and clone my windows installation to the new drive. Once that was complete, I removed the abominable mechanical hard drive and installed the main SSD drive.
Now I get pure joy when I press the power button to boot up. The login screen appears in 6 seconds. The OS is completely loaded and system resource monitor shows the hard drive at 13% in another 9 seconds after I enter my password. Now I absolutely love my Asus.
The moral of this story is that unless you’re prepared to replace the poor excuse of a hard drive with an SSD of any size, you are going to be disappointed with this machine. I certainly was. But having been in IT for nearly 30 years, I had the knowledge and experience to perform the upgrade.
Bottom line: The machine is absolutely beautiful and stunning in appearance and performance, once you get rid of the anchor and chain slowing it down.

Not sure what the difference is....
March 18, 2017
So, I just returned a ASUS Laptop that was an i3 and upgraded to this i7. I find it to be super fast.. it almost reminds me of my 4K SSD Satellite at home. I bought this one for work.. and I don't find it to be sluggish at all. When at the store, I noted your review to the salesman and the one I bought that IS attached to this AD on Best Buy said it had a 7400rpm. So, I'm not sure if it's the same one you have or not, but it's really moving nicely. That said, I had Geek Squad remotely go update everything and make sure it was moving as fast as possible.

Me too... so I returned it.
March 28, 2017
I ran into several problems with this computer, so sadly.. I had to return it. One big flaw is that all Black case it lives in. I love black.. but that brushed steel is the worst! It's really pretty when it's new.. but by day 2 is was so ugly from the finger prints! The lid looked horrible and the key pad and hand area, a total train wreck. Unless you are ready to use a microfiber cloth on it daily, you are going to hate this case they put the computer in.. Also, you'd have to open it from the sides.. and that's no easy task, just to attemp to keep it clean. I tried and tried to love this laptop.. but too many things got in the way. I was surpised at how heavy if felt for such a thin laptop. I read that it's because of the 2T hard drive that's why the weight went up. Also, once you add Office 365 to it.. the processor gets Loud and oh.. Soooo... S L O W...
That drove me nuts of have an i7 and it be slow. Too many things that added up to return this before you hate it on a daily basis.
I loved the lit keyboard and black keys,, since the silver model they make is not easy to see the keys. I really wanted to Love this laptop.

Brilliant concept, poor execution
By MdniteCreepr from Southern Califiornia
I’d been seeing advertising for the Trackr Bravo online and thought it was a very clever idea. I frequently misplace my reading glasses or leave them at work and then need them at home. I also have keyless ignition on my car and have a tendency to leave the smart key in unusual places around the house. So, I made an impulse buy of a two-pack of the devices at Best Buy over Thanksgiving week end. I wanted to test them out with the idea that I might order a bigger lot of them to give as Christmas gifts. After using the devices for a couple weeks and actually losing (as in gone forever, not just temporarily misplaced) something, I’m rather glad I started small and didn’t waste more of my money on nearly useless gifts.
Here are my observations about the Trackr Bravo devices:
Package included two devices w/CR1616 batteries installed, two key rings, two adhesive disks and a set up guide. The set up guide is very basic and has no troubleshooting tips in the event your device is inoperable right out of the box. One of the batteries inside my devices was dead on arrival, so I purchased a new battery. Several days later, I read on the company web site that I should have contacted them for a replacement, because this is apparently a known and common issue.
The devices use Bluetooth to pair with my iPhone 6 and aside from the battery issue set up was pretty straightforward. I attached one device to the smart key for my car with the provided key ring and I put the other inside the case for my glasses. Then I tested the Phone Finder and Item Ringer features. Phone Finder works by pressing the button on the Trackr device and your phone plays a pleasant little ditty to say “Here I am!” Item Ringer works by tapping an icon in the app to make the Trackr device itself beep. Both features depend on the app being turned on, the range and stability of the Bluetooth signal, and HOLDING the button or icon until you hear the alert (instructions don’t mention the holding part). The volume on Phone Finder is great, even with my phone on mute and stuffed under the couch cushion I could hear it from most points in the house. The volume on Item Ringer, however, is sadly lacking. I could not hear its weak little whimper even when it was in plain sight less than six feet away.
After testing the active finding features, I next wanted to try the passive Separation Alert Feature, which is supposed to work when the Trackr Bravo and your paired iPhone are no longer within Bluetooth range of each other. It worked once as advertised, when I sent my husband out of the house with my smart key. Then in an attempt to test the range of the devices, I left my key and glasses home and went for a short walk with my iPhone (leaving the app on and watching the screen). No alerts occurred on either Trackr or the phone and I was well outside the stated 100’ Bluetooth Range AND the WiFi range of my home network. Within 15 minutes of returning home, my phone started intermittently sounding a Separation Alert every few minutes, even though one Trackr was mere inches from my phone and the other was ten feet away. This got quite irritating. I can only deduce the Bluetooth signal from these devices is very poor and unstable causing the app to think it was separated from one or both devices. The only way to stop it was to deactivate the Separation Alert feature within the app for both devices.
This brings me to the final feature I unwillingly tested just a few days ago. The Trackr company claims you can find lost items on a map using Crowd GPS. I wish it were so. I went Christmas shopping with my husband and had my smart key in my jacket pocket with the Trackr device still attached. My husband had the other smart key in his pants pocket. Keep in mind, the car doors can’t be locked or unlocked without a key nearby and the car will not start unless one of the two keys is inside the car. While we were inside the store, I removed my jacket and set it in the shopping cart. We decided to check out separately for reasons that are not relevant and I arrived at the car first. I unlocked the rear hatch (proving I still had my key at that point), stowed my packages and retrieved my jacket from the cart and put it back on then returned the cart to the corral we were parked right next to. My husband arrived and we got in the car and left. When we arrived at our next destination, I realized I didn’t have my key because I couldn’t lock the car until my husband came back near it. I immediately fired up the Trackr app and started searching for my key. We returned to the parking spot where I know I last had it, but it was nowhere to be found. Went back inside the store, checked their lost & found and left my name and contact info with them. My smart key is well and truly lost, the Trackr app Crowd GPS map shows its last known location is my home and has been ‘searching’ for it in vain for over 60 hours.
I really wanted to like this product and find it useful, but I can’t recommend it at all. My initial purchase was $39.99 for the Trackr devices plus $2.99 for a replacement battery plus $249 for a replacement smart key plus sales tax. I calculate that one Trackr Bravo device has cost me over $300 and it’s only useful feature is to ping my iPhone. I rarely misplace my phone anyway, and when I do I either call it or use the FREE ‘Find my iPhone’ app from another phone. My friends and family needn’t worry that they’ll be receiving a Trackr Bravo from me as a gift. I am so disappointed.

I've had horrible luck with mine as well. Very unreliable...

Fan, weight, sound

How noisy is the fan? How much does it weigh? Sound quality tinny? Trying to decide between Samsung Ativ Book 9 Pro Plus 15.6 & this Toshiba.
The fan sound is almost nonexistent. With an SSD hard drive, the fan shuts off the majority of the time. VERY QUIET... It is light. Can't remember the exact weight, but more than an iPad.. yet Less than a normal laptop. This model is VERY thin.. so a lot of the weight is gone. This computer ROCKS!! and is VERY FAST...

Upgrade to 1.5 TB storage?

Besides the 512GB SSD, can an additional 1 TB hard drive be added for 1.5 TB storage? Thanks
I've asked this same question as well. I can''t find any info on it anywhere.... Would love to add both RAM and more SSD space for future tread on these already FAST Wheels!

Memory upgrade to 32GB?

Can RAM be upgraded from 16GB to 32 GB? Thanks.
I've asked this same question and no one seems to have the answer either.... It's impressive at 16 and keeps up with all the graphics nicely.. but I'd LOVE to add the other 16 to max it out!
